There used to be a clam hot pot place I loved right by my house, and the name changed on me!! The clam hot pot was so good... but!!!!!!!!!!!! Looks like the menu stayed exactly the same!!

My son had a piano competition in Seoul the other day, so by Sunday I really wanted a drink in the neighborhood lol. Weekends really do call for someone else's delicious side dishes lol.

Sunday 5pm, and the outdoor tables were already full

Went around 5pm on a Sunday and the outdoor tables were already full [Sujakgye Wonhadeon Bada Byeollnae Main Branch] — if you're going, definitely try to sit outside~~~ the outdoor seating is so goood~~~~~ next time I need to hurry over earlier lol

The indoor section had almost no seats left either, just two tables free... Besides the usual clam hot pot & grilled clams, there's a pocha menu too, so maybe that's why it was packed~~ Weekend drinking really is best in the afternoon huh lol

Indoor seating packed with customers

Outdoor tables need prepayment, plus free cheese tteokbokki

The outdoor tables are prepay only, just so you know lol!! They're also running a Karrot (secondhand app) event, so be sure to join!! They serve cheese tteokbokki (rice cakes) as soon as you order~~~ as a tteokbokki fanatic I actually shouted!!!!!!!!!!!! Not bad quality at all for a free side dish~~~

The usual clam hot pot (small) at ₩55,000

The clam hot pot (small) I always get _ 55.0 scallops, clams, octopus, abalone, dumplings, fish cake skewers, plus cheese topping~~ they're generous with it all~~ the octopus comes already cooked so slurp it right up~ and they pour in more broth generously so just wait a bit~ You don't need to go all the way to Wolmido for clams~~ (we used to go to Wolmido often for clams as a family of three lol)

We usually love soju-and-beer mixes, but this day we skipped the mix for soju alone~~~~~~~ Started off with the chewy octopus~~~

With kids: tuna rice balls and pork cutlet

My elementary schooler joined us after playing at the playground, and we got the tuna rice balls _ 7.0 my kid loves scallops and abalone seafood so we ate them together with the rice balls~~~ There's also pork cutlet on the kids' menu~

Ate scallops, ate oysters, ate clams

My kid really knows how to eat lol, popping whole cheese-loaded scallops in one bite.

The broth base is basically very nice on its own, so these clam friends are delicious even eaten plain~~~

Finish with kalguksu noodles — they refill the broth for you

With broth like this, what else!!! Kalguksu (knife-cut noodles) obviously has to go in~~~~

If you order kalguksu, they pour in more broth generously, so make sure to get the noodles too~~

Man, the crab was extra delicious that day for some reason~~ writing this post makes me want to eat it again~~~
