I was looking for a good taco place in Magok and found one with over 5,000 reviews!!! I got curious about how good it had to be to rack up that many reviews, so I went and checked it out 🤤

Friday weekday lunch at Taqueros — do you need a reservation?
I went with a Naver reservation for Friday at 12:30pm, and it seemed to be a well-known spot among office workers around here!! The photos look empty because I took them after people had left, but when I visited, the place was packed with both reserved and walk-in customers....
Luckily we had a reservation so we could go straight in 😊 On the table were the default sauces, chili sauce and ketchup.

They're running a Naver review event where you get Nutella tortilla chips & ice cream, and apparently if you make a reservation for an engagement or a birthday, they'll give you a free cheesecake too ❤️

What's on the Taqueros menu, including drinks and alcohol
Taqueros uses QR ordering, so everyone could browse the menu at their own pace. Besides the set menus, there were chimichanga, fajita and enchilada single dishes, several types of quesadillas and tacos, and even a kids' side menu.

For anyone still deciding, there were set menus too, and you could also order chimichanga, fajita, or enchilada dishes individually, plus various quesadillas and tacos. There was even a kids' side menu, which was a nice touch.

Along with ades and basic sodas, they had Jarritos, the national soda of Mexico!! There were also plenty of alcohol options, and a good number of tequilas, which made it look great for tacos with tequila in the evening.

What comes in the Signature Couple Set for two at 56,000 won
I ordered the Couple Set for two plus a Texas Chili Fries that day. The couple set lets you choose one of fajita or pork ribs, plus one of each of the popular fish taco and chicken taco, so it seemed like a great way to try a variety on a first visit. The Texas Chili Fries was great to order alongside since we went with a friend who eats a lot and the 2-person set alone might've been a bit short.

The nacho chips that come as a default!! The cheese dipping sauce was warm and rich, and it went so well with the nachos...🤤 It reminded me of when Kyungsoo used to order cheese sauce with his nachos at Yongsan CGV haha.
And the star of the show, the set for two!! Fajita is a dish where you wrap various meats and rice in a tortilla, so it goes really well eaten together with tacos. I thought the set menu portions would be a bit small, but the amount was way more than I expected, which made me like it even more 🤤

With charcoal-grilled-style chicken, pulled pork, and slightly spicy pork — three types of meat — plus shrimp, grilled onions and rice, the fajita alone seemed like it could let you make your own version of the tacos they sell!!

Free sauce and tortilla refills at Taqueros; guacamole costs 3,000 won
Plus all the sauces except guacamole were refillable at no extra charge, which was even better 🤤 Guacamole needed a ₩3,000 add-on, but I didn't need to add it since the portion was plenty already!
And tortillas were refillable too!! The best kind of service....👍
My friend who came with me made them into nice bite-sized wraps, and being able to pick your own sauces to eat with them was really great!!! Personally, piling on a lot of tomato was really delicious 🧡

Why the fish taco should be eaten before the fajita
And the taco I was most looking forward to!! It was a soft taco loaded with fresh vegetables, so it was easy to take a big bite without feeling greasy. Honestly I always thought fish tacos were a bit of a niche choice..? that kind of position, but this fish taco was genuinely, genuinely delicious!!! Turns out Taqueros's most popular taco is actually the fish taco.... It stayed crispy even after time passed, but eating it warm was the best, so I'd recommend eating the tacos before the fajita!

Texas chili fries vs Texas chili nachos at Taqueros
The Texas Chili Fries are fries topped with their house-made chili con carne sauce!! That chili con carne sauce is an absolute weapon... it goes so well with the fries ㅜㅠ And I'd recommend ordering this over the Texas Chili Nachos, because—
—you can just put the sauce on the nacho chips that come as a default anyway.... (if getting into college was based on eating, I'd have gone to Harvard, that's me..)
We cleaned every last bit of it 🤤

And you get to try a lucky draw once for every ₩60,000 spent!! So eat well and go for the grand prize too!!

Is Taqueros worth it for a Magok date or a taco dinner?
The pacing of the food coming out was just right, and the owner was really kind, so next time I want to go back just for the tacos alone!!! If you're looking for a date-night restaurant or a taco restaurant in Magok, I really recommend this place ❤️❤️
