Suwon burger restaurant, Garlic Boom and onions: 666 Burger

I was craving a burger, so I visited 666 Burger Main Branch this time.

Parking and the retro restaurant atmosphere

I came by car, and there was space to park at Baekja Apartment behind the restaurant. After parking, I went inside.

The red-and-white exterior already stood out, but once I went in, the restaurant was decorated more beautifully than I expected.

These days, I often only photograph the food when I go to a restaurant, but this place had several spots that were great for photos, so I found myself looking around at different things while waiting. It had an overall retro atmosphere, with red accents that made it nice for taking pictures.

and the walls and seating area also had a nice atmosphere, so I took various photos of the restaurant before the food came out. There were several photo-spot-like places, which made looking around the space fun, too.

We ordered at the kiosk.

There were several kinds of burgers, but we ordered the Garlic Boom set and the Texas Red set.

The sets include a burger, fries, and a drink. You could order sides separately as well, but we tried the standard sets.

Garlic Boom came loaded with onions and vegetables

First up was the Garlic Boom burger I ordered. When I picked it up, it had quite a generous amount of vegetables, especially onions.

The lettuce and other vegetables felt fresh, and it also had onions, pickles, and sauce.

The patty was what stood out most while eating the burger. It was moist enough that juices ran out of the patty when I took a bite.

You could even see how moist the patty was in the photo. And because it had lots of onions, I could feel their crisp texture along with the patty. I prefer a burger with plenty of onions like this rather than just a few, so that part suited my taste. It had vegetables like lettuce, too, and they felt fresh overall. Rather than feeling like I was eating only a hefty patty, the onions and vegetables added a variety of textures.

My husband ordered the Texas Red. Texas Red is a burger with a chicken patty rather than a beef patty.

Compared with the usual chicken-burger patties I have tried, the texture was a little different. Typical chicken-burger patties often chew softly, as if they are ground, but Texas Red felt chewier and had more bite than that. To me, it seemed like a whole-muscle chicken patty with distinct fibers rather than a ground patty. My husband also said the patty texture was a little different from the chicken burgers he usually eats.

Crisp fries that were not heavily seasoned

I also tried the fries that came with the set.

The fries were crisp on the outside. I find it hard to eat a lot of fries when they are too salty, so these were easier to enjoy because they were not heavily seasoned.

Salt was available separately at the restaurant, though, so you could season them yourself if you wanted them saltier. I tried them plain first and added salt only if needed.

My conclusion after sharing Garlic Boom and Texas Red

This time, we ordered and tried Garlic Boom and Texas Red. Even though they were both burgers, the beef and chicken patties had different textures, so sharing the two made the difference really clear. Garlic Boom had a juicy patty, and the generous amount of onions stood out. Texas Red had a chicken patty with a distinctive chewiness that felt a little different from a typical chicken burger. The fries were crisp and not heavily seasoned, so they were easy to eat. Above all, the restaurant's retro decor made it a nice place to take photos while eating. If you visit 666 Burger Main Branch, I think it would be convenient to check whether parking is available before you go.
