Sangwangsimni hair salon: Ayunchae clinic for split ends, Oreudeubi

Why I chose the Ayunchae clinic at Oreudeubi Sangwangsimni Station Branch

With autumn coming and my hair getting dry and brittle, I went to Oreudeubi Sangwangsimni Station Branch (오르드비 상왕십리역점) for the Ayunchae clinic. There are so many kinds of clinics, but I was looking at salons near the Wangsimni Station and Sangwangsimni Station line and settled on this one. It's on the ground floor of an arcade building so it's easy to find, and they had a first-visit event too.

My hair is long and thick, and since I use a flat iron every day, the ends were badly damaged. After the Ayunchae clinic, I could see the improvement right away. Here's my honest review of a clinic at an easy-to-reach Wangsimni salon!

Oreudeubi Sangwangsimni is at 410 Wangsimni-ro, Centras Shopping Arcade Building i, 1F, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, and is open daily from 10:30 to 20:00. I booked through Naver and requested my designer.

Where is Oreudeubi Sangwangsimni Station Branch, and is it easy to find?

It's a 5-minute walk from Sangwangsimni Station, on the ground floor of the Centras apartment arcade, so it's easy to find. You can see the Oreudeubi Hair lettering right on the arcade building, and there's a panel at the entrance too.

Once you enter the Centras arcade, there's a sign pointing right straight ahead, and when you go around, Oreudeubi is right on your left. I'd booked my designer, but the place was almost full of customers, so I figured it must be popular.

After they confirmed my reservation, I sat in the waiting area for a bit. The chairs and the space beside them feel really like a café. A clean Wangsimni salon!

I had a glass of water from the water purifier, and after a short wait they showed me to my seat. There's Wi-Fi too, just so you know!

The salon is done in white and gray tones, so it feels super clean.

My hair before the clinic: split ends from daily flat ironing

This is my hair before the Ayunchae clinic. Because it's so long, the ends are a bit damaged. It doesn't show much from this angle, so if you zoom in a lot...

The ends are damaged, split and broken, and the damage is creeping upward. It's not terrible, but I wanted a clinic before it got worse. The Ayunchae clinic is the most famous of the clinics, so that was my pick! Note that the Oreudeubi Ayunchae clinic has a separate extra charge for hair length (Gijang) :)

How does Oreudeubi's 3-step Ayunchae clinic work?

The Ayunchae clinic at Oreudeubi Sangwangsimni comes in 3 steps. They went step by step, from moisture to nutrition, so the hair absorbs everything well.

Step 1: Product applied, then absorbed with a heat-free device

After the product is applied at each stage, a device is used to help it absorb into the hair. Puffs of steam were rising! It wasn't hot or heated at all, which was comfortable. I hate sweating so much T_T

During step 1, they brought me a drink and snacks to enjoy right away.

Step 2: Hair already feeling silky soft

On to step 2. I could already feel my hair getting much softer than in step 1, like slippery wet seaweed. I liked that they applied it so thoroughly.

After step 2 there was another round of device absorption. I scrolled my phone and ate snacks while waiting, so it was over quickly.

Step 3: The finishing step

Finished all the way through step 3, carefully! I think even people with really frizzy curly hair would end up silky like seaweed with the Ayunchae clinic done in these 3 steps.

Ayunchae clinic before and after: how much did my hair change?

Ta-da, the before and after! After the Ayunchae clinic at Oreudeubi Sangwangsimni, my perm curls stayed lively and my hair got softer. I have a lot of hair, and after the clinic it feels a bit lighter, and it's soft so it combs through easily, which I loved.

The difference is even clearer up close. The hair is softer, the split ends have calmed down, and you can see it's filled with moisture and nutrition. Wow... a top Wangsimni salon T_T

Is the Ayunchae clinic at Oreudeubi Sangwangsimni worth it?

Oreudeubi Sangwangsimni is near Sangwangsimni Station, so it's easy to get to, and you can have your hair done in a pleasant space. Any treatment feels good, but with a clinic the hair improves instantly and dramatically, which makes it even better.

While drying my hair, my designer also explained other things in detail based on my condition, like how often to get a cut. I was touched by how much softer my hair got thanks to the clinic. Really glad I went ♥
