Busan Station Korean restaurant with luggage storage: Yeongdong

In short

Yeongdong Milmyeon & Dwaeji Gukbap Busan Station Branch is a Korean restaurant in Dong-gu, Busan, directly outside Busan Station Exit 6. I had suyuk baekban, mul milmyeon, and pork dumplings, with roomy seating and space for suitcases. Verdict: an easy, filling stop before or after a trip.

It’s right in front of Busan Station Exit 6!!!! Seriously, if you’re looking for somewhere to eat near Busan Station, I highly recommend this location.

Can I store my suitcase, too?

Suitcase storage space inside the restaurant

You can conveniently store your suitcase in one corner of the restaurant! There’s plenty of room, so it’s easy to leave your luggage. Since it’s Busan Station, there are lots of travelers—so a place that makes suitcase storage easy gets a big thumbs-up, right?!

Inside Yeongdong Milmyeon & Dwaeji Gukbap

The interior is super spacious, and the tables are nicely spread out. There’s group seating too, so it seems perfect for stopping by before or after a trip, haha. High chairs are available as well!

There are solo-dining seats too! Quite a few people were eating alone. You can also store belongings under the seats.

The basic side dishes came rolling out! Dried radish strips, kkakdugi (cubed radish kimchi), chives, and kimchi for wraps—such tasty sides. This place is especially a kimchi gem.. ❤️ Even plain rice topped only with kimchi was delicious, haha.

A glass of Guksundang fresh makgeolli~~ Since this was our first good restaurant at the start of the trip, daytime drinks—ahh. There were more people having daytime drinks than I expected, haha.

Guksundang fresh makgeolli and hot broth

Hot broth,,, it kind of tasted like lightly seasoned fish-cake soup?! So warm and tasty, haha.

Suyuk baekban ₩13,000

Suyuk baekban set with boiled pork, broth, and rice

A filling spread just to look at! One full suyuk baekban set: a plate of suyuk (boiled pork), broth, and one bowl of rice.

The suyuk was so tender and delicious too ㅠㅠ It practically melted away softly in my mouth,,,! Wrap it with the dried radish strips and garlic they give you, and there’s nothing better than a tasty suyuk wrap~

A little tip for enjoying it even more: dip a few pieces of pork in the broth! The meat absorbs the broth and becomes juicy, with a charm different from regular suyuk. The broth was really rich and soothing too, so I kept going back for spoonful after spoonful, haha.

How to mix rice with boiled pork

Add the chives, rice, and a few pieces of suyuk, season with saeujeot (salted shrimp), mix it all in, and you’ll finish a bowl of gukbap in no time!!!!

Mul milmyeon ₩8,000

The mul milmyeon arrived with tiny shards of ice floating in it~~! I was excited for this signature Busan dish! Gently mix the seasoning on top through evenly.

The milmyeon broth had a clean, lightly seasoned appeal! It was a little like naengmyeon, cool and clean with a deep flavor.

The milmyeon noodles were chewy too, so the texture was great. I slurped them up with the chilled suyuk inside!!!! The sweet-tangy savoriness was lovely too~

Pork dumplings served with mul milmyeon
Ten boiled-style pork dumplings

The dumplings were 10 pork dumplings in a boiled-dumpling style! They were an easy, solid side to order, haha. Such a good pairing with milmyeon..! One bite of milmyeon, one bite of pork dumpling,,, a combination that just keeps disappearing, haha.
