Gangnam brunch spot for engagement party seating: The Mignon Seoul

In short

The Mignon Seoul is a brunch restaurant on Gangnam-daero 102-gil, between Gangnam Station and Sinnonhyeon Station in Seoul. Seafood oil pasta, seasonal fruit French toast and lychee omija ade were shared for two, with the fig, jamón and basil French toast the standout dish. Tables are spaced generously enough that the next table was mid-engagement-party-planning, making it a solid pick for dates or wedding invitation gatherings.

It had been a while since I wanted brunch-slash-lunch somewhere with good vibes, so I went to The Mignon Seoul! I was looking for a brunch place around Gangnam and found this one — the interior looked pretty and the table seating was wide, so it was an easy pick for lunch!

I ordered seafood oil pasta, seasonal fruit French toast, and omija (schisandra berry) ade, and it was just right for two people to share >-< Here's my review of The Mignon Seoul, a Gangnam Station brunch spot, focused on what I actually ate!

The exterior vibe was insane from the start 🥺 An ivory wall with red accents — such a classic look that my heart was racing before I even walked in!

This is the first floor! The interior inside had a warm feel too. Perfect for brunch with friends or a date meal!

Good for a wedding invitation gathering?

For brunch, the food matters but so does the atmosphere, right? Hahaha. I already thought this would be a good spot for a wedding invitation gathering (청첩장 모임, a get-together to hand out wedding invitations), and sure enough the table right next to me was having exactly that! This close?? This fast??

Restroom location

Here's where the restrooms are! The women's restroom is between the 1st and 2nd floors, and the men's restroom is between the 2nd and 3rd floors. There are two women's restrooms — but rather than two stalls, they each have their own separate door! No waiting needed since everyone can just open their own door, which was genuinely convenient.

The one I'd recommend most here is the seasonal fruit French toast!! Fig, jamón, and basil together — how could that not be delicious 🥺

How's the seafood oil pasta?

💛 Seafood oil pasta. Ta-da~ When you come to a brunch place, you've got to order the pasta! Shrimp, clams, squid and more piled on top made it look so pretty.

Seafood oil pasta topped with shrimp, clams and squid

True to an oil pasta, it wasn't heavy or thick — it had a clean, light style, which I liked! There was a nice variety of seafood too, so eating it together gave great texture~ The scallops especially were so good, ugh. How can a scallop be this soft?? My friend and I both gasped over how good the scallops were here. We even took turns sharing them with each other, haha.

A plate of seafood oil pasta full of umami flavor

It's a pasta packed with seafood umami, so I recommend the seafood oil pasta >-< If you like oil pasta, you'll definitely enjoy this one!

Seasonal fruit French toast: the fig, jamón, and basil combo

Seasonal fruit French toast topped with fig and jamón

💛 Seasonal fruit French toast. This one was genuinely unique (in a good way) and memorable. Fig on French toast is common enough, but adding basil, something like sour cream, and jamón made it an unusual combo that somehow worked really well together.

French toast served with basil and sour cream

Soft, fluffy French toast with the gentle sweetness of fig... need I say more, it's delicious 🥺 The sour-cream-like element had a strong basil scent too! The whole dish had this fragrant basil aroma that I really liked~

A plate of French toast that feels between dessert and a meal

French toast usually leans heavily dessert, but mixing in jamón and sour cream gave it this in-between dessert-meal feel.

There was also something like fig jam, so you could really taste the fig! Eating it with the ice cream made it feel more like a sweet dessert, which I liked even more!

Wrap-up

If you're looking for a good brunch spot near Gangnam Station, I recommend The Mignon Seoul! The seafood oil pasta was solid, and the seasonal fruit French toast with fig and jamón was really my kind of thing!! The place is also clean and spacious, making it perfect for a date or a wedding invitation gathering 👍
