You can see why Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch is known as a great spot for family gatherings in Nowon just by looking at the parking lot. Easy transport access really matters for family groups, and the underground garage can fit dozens of cars, so getting here was super convenient! Hagye Station is nearby too, so you can easily come by subway as well!

Inside the restaurant

The tables are really spacious, and there are separate private rooms too, making it nice for small groups to get together and chat. It would be great for a large gathering, a family meal with kids, or even a company dinner!

Weekday dinner price

That day, weekday dinner was ₩31,900! For a sushi buffet with a full 50 kinds of sushi alone, isn’t that an incredibly reasonable price~??

Start with a pre-meal salad

Whenever you come to a buffet, you should have some salad first. That helps prevent a blood sugar spike! There are all kinds of vegetables and dressings, so it is perfect as an appetizer!

More than 50 kinds of sushi and soy-marinated crab

The photos above show the sushi selection at Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch... Isn’t it amazing..? Sushi buffets are actually pretty common, but one with this many varieties is really rare, right? True to its long-standing sushi-buffet reputation, there are over 50 varieties, and it was so much fun choosing what to eat!

There was sashimi and soy-marinated crab too. I tried the crab, and it was so delicious it felt downright blissful!? I strongly recommend trying it!

A wide range of Western and Chinese dishes beyond sushi

There are lots of Western-style dishes as well as sushi. There is pasta, pork ribs, grilled dishes, and more—if filling up on fish alone feels a little lacking, there are plenty of things here to satisfy that craving, so you can enjoy all kinds of food!

Chinese dishes

Gyuding actually likes Chinese food much more than Western food. There are plenty of upscale Chinese dishes such as kkansho shrimp (shrimp in sweet chili sauce), chili shrimp, tangsuyuk (sweet-and-sour fried pork), and kkangpunggi (spicy garlic fried chicken), plus noodle dishes like jajangmyeon, jjamppong, and udon, making it perfect for a proper meal too.

A foodie couple’s first plates

Hahahaha, these are Gyuding and Itsang’s first plates. We piled them up, didn’t we?? Haha, we really are a foodie couple.

This is Itsang’s plate, and it has 25 pieces of sushi alone! And every single one is a different kind! Seeing them all on one plate really made me realize just how many varieties of sushi were available.

This is Gyuding’s plate! It is a little more modest than Itsang’s, but I still put together quite a satisfying selection. The salmon quality was especially good. Fresh salmon with onion and white sauce was the best!

Desserts and drinks kids will love

Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch is a great Nowon family-gathering restaurant to bring kids to. Fittingly, the dessert selection is gorgeous and catches children’s eyes. Along with Dippin’ Dots, there are eight ice cream flavors, which the kids really loved!

On top of that, there were lots of fruits, breads, cakes, cookies, and drinks such as slushies and iced tea, which made it even better haha.
