My hair had gotten so light too, and this time I wanted to bring it down naturally.

So I headed straight to Moment Hair Suraksan Station Branch (모먼트헤어 수락산역점). This time, I was treated personally by director Hangyeol, and today I’m leaving an honest review of my tone-down color ✨

Moment Hair Suraksan Station Branch is on the main Dongil-ro road near Suraksan Station, so it’s really easy to find. The sign is so big that there’s no chance of getting confused.

There’s a dumpling shop, a pabegi shop, and Mammoth Coffee Express lined up on the first floor, so it really catches your eye as you pass by. 📌 It’s right there when you come out of Suraksan Station Exit 2! 🚇

A modern, compact salon interior

When you open the door and walk in, the combination of white tile walls and black wood tones feels so modern and neat!

The mirrors run continuously like partitions, making it feel open, and the subtle ceiling lighting makes it great for photos too! 💛 The salon-only space isn’t huge, but it has everything you need in a compact setup, you know?! There are window seats too, and they even have a separate drink menu so you can enjoy coffee during your appointment ☕

You can clearly see the Suraksan Station intersection through the window, so the appointment time didn’t feel boring!

An autumn tone-down color consultation

Moment Hair uses a range of professional care products, including A’yunche!

🙋🏻♀️ I had a color consultation with director Hangyeol before the tone-down service! I said I wanted to lower the tone-down level to around 5–6. My hair was currently around level 12–13, so I was told that going with 5–6 would likely result in about a level 7–8!

The tone-down coloring process

Director Hangyeol first carefully checked my scalp condition and existing hair tone, from my roots to the level of hair damage 👍🏻 Before coloring, they thoroughly applied a scalp protectant! From applying the color itself, their hands were so quick and precise as they swept it on with such energy 😎

After the dye was applied, I could wait comfortably during the processing time, and the shampoo area had two generously spaced seats, so I could get started right away with no wait!

📌 Tone-down color usually needs about 30 minutes of processing time, so it doesn’t take as long as you might think—it’s not a burden at all!

They included a head spa during shampooing too! It felt like the machine was sweeping out all the impurities from deep in my scalp~~ It was seriously so refreshing that it felt like my scalp temperature dropped by 5 degrees, hahaha

A brown tone-down result that isn’t dull

🤎 Once the blow-dry was all finished, I got exactly the tone I wanted 🤎

It was definitely calmer than before, but not dull, with the shine still fully alive—exactly that feeling 👍🏻 The soft brown tone that shows in the light looked so natural and pretty too ⭐

I worried that a tone-down color would look dull, but it actually made my complexion look brighter.
