My boyfriend and I finally went on a Euljiro date after a while. When people think of a Euljiro date, retro spots come to mind first, but today we visited Pyu Euljiro, a ritual dining restaurant that's a 180-degree change from the hip Euljiro vibe.☺️ Highly recommend Pyu Euljiro if you're looking for a clean, atmospheric spot for a Euljiro blind date or date.

How far is it from Euljiro 3(sam)-ga Station?

Pyu Euljiro is a 3-minute walk from Euljiro 3(sam)-ga Station, so it's easy to reach by public transit. I walked from Euljiro 4(sa)-ga Station and my boyfriend from Chungmuro Station, and it still felt close. It's a Euljiro restaurant with great accessibility thanks to how near it is to the subway.☺️

Pyu Euljiro is located on the first floor of Tower107. Parking is really tough in Euljiro, but since Tower107 has its own parking lot, it's convenient to visit by car. They give you a 1-hour free parking voucher if you use the Tower107 underground parking lot, so keep that in mind.

The atmosphere of this 70-pyeong ritual dining space

Pyu Euljiro is a large ritual dining restaurant spanning 70 pyeong! With its warm, soft lighting, it's a Euljiro date restaurant where you can relax comfortably. It wasn't just a restaurant but a space where you could truly unwind, which I really liked.

The space is open and the tables are spaced far apart, so it feels comfortable. Even though it's indoors, it gives off an outdoor terrace vibe too.☺️ The chairs are comfortable, so you can eat at ease.

With tables for 2, 4, and larger groups, it's a great Euljiro restaurant to visit for important occasions like wedding invitation gatherings, blind dates, regular dates, or anniversaries. Since it runs all day with no break time, you can enjoy everything from the meal to dessert in one sitting.

Since we had reserved in advance, they prepared a welcome message for us. The tableware was set neatly too, so it felt like a warm welcome.

Menu lineup and corkage

Unlike a typical Western restaurant, there are a lot of distinctive dishes here — mackerel pasta, garden tomato risotto, yuzu grilled chicken thigh, charcoal octopus with romesco, smoked tomato, and more. They also serve bisque pasta, ragu pasta, truffle mushroom risotto, striploin steak, and other varied options.

They also have share-set menus put together so two people can enjoy a variety of dishes. Plus, one bottle of corkage is free. Total genius move by the owner🩷 Just keep in mind that a ₩20,000 fee per bottle applies beyond one bottle.

Yuzu grilled chicken thigh

Juicy chicken thigh grilled over charcoal — the yuzu grilled chicken thigh! The faint charcoal aroma is its charm.🔥

Fresh vegetables sit on top of the chicken thigh, and underneath there's a generous pool of refreshing yuzu ponzu sauce...! You just dip the chicken thigh deep in the sauce and scoop it up to eat.

Juicy, tender chicken thigh🥰 I normally don't like chicken skin, but it was grilled so crisply on the outside that it was really delicious!

Eating just the chicken thigh alone can get repetitive, but with fresh salad on top it keeps tasting refreshing so you keep going back for more.

Dip the chicken thigh deep in the yuzu ponzu sauce, top it with salad, and you've got a healthy, delicious dish complete!

Truffle mushroom risotto

A mushroom risotto made with three different kinds of mushrooms. The plating looks like a work of art, doesn't it😭

With truffle mixed in, the aroma alone is fragrant...🤎 If you love truffle, you have to try this.

Every single grain of rice stays firm — the texture is the best! A lot of places serve risotto that's basically porridge, but here the rice grains stayed intact, which made it even more delicious.

Crispy eggplant fritters

Crispy fried eggplant topped with a savory fish cream sauce — the crispy eggplant fritters! This dish could be called Pyu Euljiro's signature specialty.👏

The eggplant fritters come loaded with a rich, savory fish cream sauce.☺️ The fish cream sauce melts smoothly in your mouth, kind of like mashed potatoes.

Crispy outside, tender inside...! I was genuinely impressed eggplant could be fried this crisp while eating it hahaha. Highly, highly recommend as a beer snack!!

Two kinds of craft beer

We also ordered craft beer to go with the food. The craft beer comes with a glass, and you just pour it yourself.

We each ordered a different flavor so we could share. Once poured into the glasses, the difference between the two beers was really noticeable.

Cheongdamdong Myeoneuri, 500ml. Apparently this is a World Champion Craft Beer that won 28 titles at international beer competitions. With that many awards, it's an easy-drinking, refreshing beer that pretty much everyone can enjoy.

Sarang Beombeok, 500ml. This one is also a World Champion Craft Beer, having won 32 titles at international beer competitions. The flavor is noticeably different from regular beer! Recommended when you want something special. Personally, this one was more my style haha.
