Table at Ttukbang with the windows open for an outdoor-dining feel

Here's a photo of our table. Ttukbang has big windows throughout, and with this weather they were thrown wide open — the cool breeze coming in gave it such a great outdoor-dining feel 🤍 (I'm a bit obsessed with outdoor dining lately, haha)

✔️It's a BBQ restaurant but there was no oppressive heat, so I was able to eat comfortably. Very satisfying!!

We ordered two servings of salt-grilled pork neck and two servings of salt-grilled pork belly. Coming out pre-seared with a golden-brown finish on all sides, it already looked mouthwatering haha

Salt-grilled pork neck, two servings

Salt-grilled pork neck. Whoa... can you see how thick this pork neck is?! If you visit Ttukbang, this Goseong-dong BBQ restaurant, the salt-grilled pork neck is a must 👍

The owner personally handles the grilling from start to finish!! The meat itself is already high quality, and ✔️with the grilling service on top of that, the 3cm-thick pork neck comes out perfectly cooked, packed with juices!!

Finished plate of salt-grilled pork neck

We tried the fully grilled meat with plain salt, the special mushroom wasabi sauce, and salted shrimp — honestly the flavor of the meat itself was so good it didn't even need a wrap 👏 My husband said dipping it in plain salt was the best way to eat it, haha

Salt-grilled pork belly at Ttukbang

Second up: salt-grilled pork belly. We asked them to grill it all at once. The pork belly also caught the eye with its impressive thickness lol Sure enough........ they said it was ⭐️premium 3cm-thick pork⭐️!!

They carefully grilled mushrooms and white kimchi alongside too!! They set aside the fully cooked pieces so nothing burned, and looked after us so attentively throughout the meal — the service was another great point of this Goseong-dong BBQ restaurant in Daegu.

Perilla leaf wrap with pork belly and scallion salad

Can't have pork belly without a wrap.....🥬 Perilla leaf + pork belly + scallion salad, no questions asked, just go for it lol This restaurant's meat speaks for itself. The pork belly was thick with great texture, chewy and savory✨ pre-seared with zero gamey smell — we ate it up happily 👍

Finishing with spicy doenjang stew, 4,000 won

Spicy doenjang stew ordered to finish the meal
Doenjang stew served with fluffy white rice

For our final dish, we went with doenjang stew (fermented soybean paste stew) — a must at any BBQ restaurant. Ah....🤍 Fluffy rice paired with a bubbling, savory doenjang.

✔️It had that perfect spicy, tangy kick to completely cut through the richness after all that meat!! Packed with vegetables and tofu, it's also a fantastic pairing with soju — you have to order it, lol
