This is Room Pojangmacha (룸 포장마차), a pocha-style bar I recommend for group dinners in Dongseong-ro~~~ The inside has such a great vibe, and there are loads of snacks—and everything is delicious. Highly recommend!

Room Pojangmacha is a Dongseong-ro bar where the owner is incredibly fun, and even the exterior is full of pocha vibes! It even sprays out a refreshing mist outside. The owner showed us in such a hilariously fun way, haha.

What are the drinks and snacks like?

There are seriously so many different snacks!!! They have misutgaru (multigrain powder) soju and matcha draft beer too!! There are lots of drinks and snacks that younger people would probably go for these days, which is nice!

An interior with outdoor-bar vibes

The interior is a bar absolutely packed with pocha vibes like this. If you want an old-school spot, pocha atmosphere, or outdoor-bar feel among Daegu Dongseong-ro bars, I seriously recommend Room Pojangmacha!! My coworker loved it too, saying the atmosphere was so good that it put them in the best mood, hahaha. You seeing this?

This was the basic table setting. There are menus and photos of snacks on the walls too, so choosing is a little easier!

The atmosphere inside is so good! It has that pocha feel, so my coworker and I got really happy saying how great the vibe was, haha. The interior also feels bright? It has an outdoor-bar kind of feel, so the atmosphere is amazing—I recommend it as a Dongseong-ro date bar too.

What to know before choosing your order

There were so many menu items that I may not have captured them all, hehe... The menu is seriously huge and varied, so you can choose whatever you want~ But if you struggle to decide, this is going to be very hard 😂

Draft beer after work on a Friday night

First of all, we were office workers on a Friday night after work. Time to knock back some draft beer. The owner poured it so cleanly; the foam was seriously soft too. How are you supposed to resist a post-work Friday beer in an atmosphere like this~

Fried chicken gizzards with whole garlic

The first snack we ordered was fried chicken gizzards~~ They even fry the garlic properly with it!! It was whole garlic, and seriously delicious. A total game changer.

They weren’t tough at all—chewy and really delicious!! The garlic was cooked just right and seriously tasty too. No off smell at all; completely perfect with beer.

Nagasaki jjamppong soup needs extra noodles

This is Nagasaki jjamppong soup! It doesn’t come with extra noodles, so add them!!!!! The portion is seriously generous~! It has loads of bean sprouts and plenty of seafood too! No unpleasant smell, and we ate it up so happily—it was delicious.

We were hungry after work, so we ate it in a flash... This place is seriously great for snacks.. Usually, when a menu is this varied, the quality drops.. but the chef’s cooking skills are good.

The drinks went down so easily. We went right after work, so it was still quiet, which was perfect, hehe. Once we had a drink, customers started filling the place up..!! It has that Dongseong-ro outdoor-bar feeling, so the pocha seats seemed really popular 👍🏻👍🏻 It also seemed like it would be so nice for a date, haha.

We were still hungry office workers after work. We immediately added noodles to the Nagasaki jjamppong. We seriously inhaled it—it was so good! Highly, highly recommend!!!!!!! It was better with beer than expected, but it would be incredible with soju..🤤

The snacks are delicious, the vibe is great, and the draft beer is fantastic..🍺💛 It would have an amazing atmosphere even on a rainy day.
