Daegu Chinese-style bar for Peking duck wraps: Mirim Yangjang
In short
Mirim Yangjang Daegu is a Chinese-style bar in Gyodong, Jung-gu, Daegu. We ordered half a Peking duck, kkanpung shrimp, and Zero Cola, then wrapped the crisp duck skin and juicy meat in wheat pancakes. Verdict: a cozy spot for a seriously good Peking duck wrap.

Mirim Yangjang’s atmosphere and location in Daegu’s Gyodong

Today, I visited Mirim Yangjang in downtown Daegu! It’s a five-minute walk from Jungangno Station, so it seems perfect for taking the subway over and having a drink!

Dark lighting and such a cozy atmosphere! I went during the evening rush, and there were quite a few people!
The menu, from Peking duck to Chinese bar snacks

There are so many menu items! Starting with the famous Peking duck, everything looked delicious!! There were also some unusual side dishes I’d never seen before!

We ordered half a Peking duck (35), kkanpung shrimp (18), and Zero Cola (3)!

The table was neatly set with dishes and cutlery, and you can order through the QR code attached to the table!

Just add everything to your cart like this, then place the order—done! You can use the QR code for extra orders too, without having to call a staff member over. So convenient and nice. For introverts, calling out loudly for a staff member can be hard, you know.

They set out the accompaniments first: sauce, cucumber, shredded scallions, ginger, and peanuts. The peanuts were so tasty that I kept munching on them, hehe.

Half a Peking duck with crispy skin
The half Peking duck came out quickly too! The duck skin on top was incredibly crispy, while the meat was tender! The menu says it takes more than 30 hours, from drying to roasting, to make one whole Peking duck, and it really was that delicious. Hehehe.

The meat inside was juicy!

These are wheat pancakes! Discard the transparent sheet on top.

Put duck, cucumber, shredded scallions, and sauce on a wheat pancake, then wrap it all up in one bite! The pancake is pleasantly chewy and the meat is juicy. The cucumber and scallions cut the duck’s richness!
Slightly spicy kkanpung shrimp
This is kkanpung shrimp. Fried shrimp drizzled with chili sauce is served over lettuce.

Need I even say it? The kkanpung shrimp was delicious. It has a little kick, so have it with lettuce when that happens—yum yum! The restaurant’s interior has such a great vibe too.

They also use Catch Table, so it seems like a good option if there’s a wait~!

Ducks being dried at the restaurant... whoa.
