Suwon Bluewings collab bagel café: pretzel bagel wins, Orange Bagel
In short
Orange Bagel is a large bagel café on Omokcheon-ro in Gosaek-dong, Gwonseon-gu, Suwon, with a Suwon Samsung Bluewings collab space inside. On a weekday visit at 3 p.m., the writer had an egg bagel and an Americano at Orange Bagel, then took home five bagels (pretzel, scallion, basil, chocolate and red bean butter) to compare, and the pretzel bagel was everyone's number one. Orange Bagel is worth a visit if you're looking for a bagel shop or brunch café in Suwon.

Today I visited Orange Bagel, a big café in Gosaek-dong, Suwon, haha! I'd already heard about it from coworkers and friends (and actually eaten their bagels a few times, haha), but this was my first time at the shop itself, so here's my review~!! I also heard they did a collab for fans of Suwon Samsung Bluewings, so fans, take a look! I'll share my recommended menu too!

Exterior and parking lot

When I visited on a weekday at 3 p.m., the parking lot was about half full and cars were turning over quickly. It was a bit gloomy the day I went~! Even so, the interior and exterior design were great and left an impression.

The lot's entrance is easy even for beginners, so I'd recommend it to people practicing their road driving too! The roads there were easy to get around.
Suwon Samsung Bluewings collab space and interior

As I mentioned, one side of the inside of Orange Bagel is decorated in collaboration with Suwon Samsung Bluewings.

The first thing I noticed the moment I walked in was the freshly baked bagels! Many people think of plain when they hear "bagel," but Orange Bagel has plain and lots of other kinds too, haha.

Look, they sell simple drinks too, which is great. Everything is lined up neatly, which makes Orange Bagel feel even nicer!

What did I pick at Orange Bagel?
Orange Bagel has so many options to suit your taste that choosing was hard. The cream cheese to go with the bagels comes in several flavors too, so picking a combination was fun! I skipped that this time, though~ I hesitated between the jambon (ham) and the salmon egg, and ended up picking the egg~! I'll show you in the photos below.

The café's overall mood is clean yet warm, so I thought it's good to visit alone, and also a nice space for brunch with a friend or partner.

The restroom was clean too.

There's a self-service bar as well, which I like. Best of all, you can pack things to go!

Are there still bagels left at 3 p.m.?
Even though I came on a weekday at 3 p.m., the Orange Bagel display was quite emptied out.. ㅠㅠ They're really popular! As soon as they refill, they sell!

If you buy 4 or more bagels they wrap them for free, so definitely buy four or more, haha! Perfect for gifts!

How were the egg bagel and Americano?
I ordered Orange Bagel's egg bagel and an Americano! The bagel was lightly crisp outside and moist and chewy inside, which really impressed me. Not too tough, not dry either, with a mild, plain flavor in every bite, and then egg and bacon on top!! The bacon was thick too, so it didn't feel like a waste of money, haha. Best of all, I was full after just one piece (really, ㅠㅠ).

I packed up the rest of the bagels and zoomed home.

Five takeout bagels from Orange Bagel: which is number one?
Of the five bagels I took home from Orange Bagel (pretzel, scallion, basil, chocolate and red bean butter), the pretzel bagel came first. It was everyone's top pick!
- Pretzel > Need I say more.. it's number one.
- Chocolate > Chewier and softer than a chocolate baguette, so I enjoyed it. Not too sweet, nicely seasoned, great!
- Basil > Smells good, but some said it might divide opinions. I absolutely loved it, though!
- Scallion > Solid. A flavor you know~
- Red bean butter (angbeoteo) > The butter is thick and tasty. It felt like second place to me!
Number one is the pretzel!! It was everyone's favorite. Chocolate is second too! It doesn't divide opinions, just sweet enough, haha.
Is Orange Bagel in Suwon worth a visit?
There are lots of dessert cafés these days, but a specialty shop that focuses on just one thing, like Orange Bagel, seems even more appealing. The staff wander around in orange clothes, which looked like Minions and was extra cute. The bread itself is so well made that even without special toppings it was plenty satisfying, and I found myself wanting to try the different bagels one by one.
If you're looking for a brunch café or a good bagel shop in Suwon, I think Orange Bagel is worth a visit at least once. It's a relaxed place to spend time alone, and comfortable for chatting over coffee with a friend. Next time I really want to try the other bagels and cream cheese combinations I missed this time. If you love bagels, you'll probably be very happy here, so if you're hunting for tasty bagels in Suwon, I recommend Orange Bagel, haha.
