Jeongja Station hair salon cut + part perm for wavy sides: Yeum Hair

I'm a semi-curly-hair person ➿ My hair is thin, and only the sides are badly curly, so about a month after every salon visit I start worrying about my style again, and honestly, sometimes I don't even like the result once it's done! Today's story is about the part perm I got at Yeum Hair, a Bundang hair salon near Jeongja Station, where the cut suited my head shape and the perm looked the most natural I've had ✨

Yeum Hair Bundang Jeongja Branch is on the 4th floor of Baekgung Plaza, toward Exit 3 of Jeongja Station, with free parking on basement levels 2–4 of Baekgung Plaza. Hours are Tue, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun 10:00–20:00 and Wed 10:00–19:00, closed on Mondays.

Yeum Hair sits right by Exit 3 of Jeongja Station ➿ It was hot summer weather, so even though I live close, I drove to avoid sweating. Office workers around Jeongja Station can park for free too, so you can park after work and drop by the salon ➿

What is the inside of Yeum Hair like?

The inside of Yeum Hair Bundang Jeongja Branch has a wood-tone, café-like feel. The moment you walk in, it's a café vibe!

Since I moved to Bundang, I've noticed that every shop takes Seongnam Sarang gift vouchers. They're sold at a 10% discount, so you can get your hair done for less ➿

You can keep your belongings and outerwear in a cabinet, and in the waiting area you can look through the products Yeum Hair uses one by one, which is fun in itself. They also have premium vegan dye, which looked like something people who dye regularly would be interested in.

Gowns brought out of an Air Dresser

A hair salon with an Air Dresser!!!! You wear a freshly sanitized gown, which is pure happiness. Usually it felt like they just folded up a gown that had been worn, but here the gown comes out of the Air Dresser, so it feels much nicer.

From the shampoo room to the styling area, everything is pleasant, and the wood-tone interior is my favorite, so the time I spend there is peaceful 📚 A cut and perm together usually take an hour, and in this atmosphere, seeing that even the gowns are looked after made me fall for the attention to detail all over again ✨

Let's change up our hair while getting drinks and snacks!! Salons these days are as good as cafés, so it feels like you've come to a café, and I don't even need to stop for coffee before a salon visit anymore.

What was the problem with my side hair before the part perm?

This visit to Yeum Hair was on my 4-week cycle, so my hair wasn't terribly messy. My worry is that when my hair grows, the sides stick out! Maybe because of my head shape, that area always needs a perm!

If I let the back grow a little more, it'll turn into a Kim Byung-ji cut (a famous Korean footballer's mullet), so I'm getting it cut right away.

The back looks relatively okay, but the sides through the front need doing fast! I can't see my back, but I see my side and front every time I look in the mirror, so it bugs me.

Once it's done, styling is easier and more comfortable, so I count down to hair day.

Did the cut + part perm look natural?

I got a cut and a part perm together at Yeum Hair, and the side view that bothered me most was neatly sorted out. From the consultation on, the designer recommended styling suited to my head shape and hair texture, so I ended up with pretty hair ✨

Ta-da! The facilities were great and I got my hair done while sipping coffee in comfort. A neat transformation with the cut + part perm! It keeps my strengths and makes the weak points disappear, with nothing awkward, which might be the biggest plus.

Since it's a part perm, the other areas are cut cleanly and the part area flows over naturally with the perm, so even on the first day nothing felt awkward, as if it had always been my own style. Amazing 🍀
