Bar-table lamb set for two with grilled French rack at Jin 1926, Dasan

Today I visited Jin 1926 Dasan Branch, a great lamb restaurant in Dasan for dates, gatherings, and eating out~~

Location and parking — right near Dasan Station Exit 1

It's located right near Exit 1 of Dasan Station, so it's super easy to find. 🚗Parking info🚗

If you tell staff your license plate number when paying, you get 2 hours free parking~

How to get there

There's a big sign on the window, so it's easy to spot from far away~

This is the Sinhae Central Tower building~

Go inside, take the elevator up to the 2nd floor, and

a cute little ribbon on the right peeks out and welcomes you~

Interior and seating — bar table for 2, tables from 3

When you walk in, they have blankets ready and there's Dassai on display~

The interior is pretty spacious! For 3 or more they'll seat you at a table, and for up to 2 they'll set you up at the bar table~

There's plenty of seating all the way to the back, and the gap between tables is wide so it felt really comfortable haha

They also have baby chairs ready, so it's great for eating out with kids too~

Drinks and corkage

They had all kinds of beer, distilled spirits, and gochu (Chinese sorghum liquor), plus a wide variety of wines too! Corkage is ₩10,000~~

The review — from the basic banchan to stir-fried bean sprouts

This is the basic table setup~ They set out fresh gat-kimchi, baek-kimchi, dried radish, cheongyang chili, and wasabi, salt, and soy sauce next to each individual plate!~

Jin 1926 Dasan Branch says their principle is 100% premium chilled Australian lamb, trimmed and sold the same day~

A place has to tell you the health benefits of lamb to really count as a good restaurant, right?!

This is the stir-fried bean sprouts that comes as a default side!! It's well seasoned, and it's stir-fried with cheongyang chili, so it's great to nibble on before the meat comes out haha

Since we had the bar table, they set up a brazier right in front of us like this (there's a partition in front so no oil splatters on you — love that!!)

The table seats also each have a spot for a brazier. The table seats had splatter guards too!! Such attention to detail, seriously🫢

We ordered the 2-person gochu-liquor set. You've gotta have soju with lamb, right?! haha..🍺

Here comes the main event~~👏👏👏 It looks so fresh, must be because it's chilled meat?!

They grill the meat for you right there — apparently the French rack is usually cooked medium rare and the lamb chops medium, but they'll grill it to whatever doneness you want!

Once it's done, they plate it on the dish in front of you like this

The plating was so pretty too, and it tasted as good as it looked🤤 The meat was so fresh there was zero gamey smell — seriously packed with flavor and the juiciness was insane!!!! The best part is they grill everything for you, so you can just focus on your own conversation — I loved that!

Definitely order the Jin Special Rice side dish

And there's a side dish called Jin Special Rice — please please please!!!!! order this. It's a combo of gondre rice, pollack roe, special sauce, and seaweed — if you don't order it you're a fool, a fool!!! You mix the nutty gondre rice with salty pollack roe, wrap it in seaweed with some meat on top, and it's just... amazing👏👏 I kept gasping the whole time I ate it. Please order it ㅠㅠ

They carefully grilled the meat on the bone all the way to the end, and even hygienically added a disposable handle to hold it. Every lamb place I'd been to before, napkins were the best you got..? That kind of attentiveness was another touch point👍

And if you eat it together with the whole grilled mushrooms bursting with juice, it's meat all the way, meat!!!!

Reservation and group info

Weekend lunch reservations are available from 4 people up, group seating goes up to 20, and full-hall rental up to 40! It's great for a date, great for a family meal, and great for group gatherings too — if you're looking for a quality, delicious lamb restaurant with great service, Jin 1926 Dasan Branch is highly, highly recommended!!!
