Gimhae café with a studio-lit photo zone and free muffin: Peer a Peer

Today I'm bringing you a review of a brand-new, super-sized aesthetic café in Jillye, Gimhae — 'Peer a Peer'! The weather was so nice I went out for a drive and a mood reset. I heard the place used to be a pickled radish and furniture factory, reborn as this amazing cultural space, and honestly I gasped the moment I walked in.

Location: 1F, 139-5 Jillye-ro, Jillye-myeon, Gimhae-si, Gyeongsangnam-do, South Korea Hours Mon–Wed: 11:00 - 20:00 Thu–Sun: 11:00 - 21:00 Parking: private outdoor lot in front of the building for about 100 cars (zero parking stress!)

The clear sky on the way there made it feel like a proper drive 🚗 and when I arrived, the private lot was so big I could park with absolutely no stress!

An art-gallery interior with healing floor-to-ceiling views

Walking up to the entrance, this huge, grand door immediately caught my eye! Inside, the space was wide and pleasant, with a lush green view through the floor-to-ceiling windows — just looking at it felt like a breath of fresh air 💚

The vibe inside felt so gallery-like I almost mistook it for a fine art museum. There were pieces on display and such a stylish interior that just wandering around was really fun!

A professional photo zone with studio lighting

In one corner, there's a dedicated photo zone set up like a real studio, complete with lighting rigs.

A 'small library' space for reading

There's also a 'small library' area on one side where you can read. I only noticed it on my way out so I didn't get to read anything, but it seems like a great spot to relax with a book if you visit with more time to spare!

Dog-friendly outdoor seating

Head outside and another gorgeous space opens up. Everything around is lush and green, the sky is blue, and sitting under a parasol out here is pure happiness... Note that dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating!

Three best-menu breads and an iced Americano

After a thorough look around the café, we finally headed to the bakery case to order. Honestly, both of us were already so full we planned to just get a plain iced Americano..?

But the second I saw how good the bread looked, I ended up grabbing three items tagged as best menu 🥖🥐 (who said they were full? haha)

Usually with these huge cafés, the view is great but the coffee and bakery are disappointing, right? But the coffee at Peer a Peer was genuinely delicious! The bean flavor was deep and nutty, and I really loved it.

The breads marked as best menu were crispy outside, soft inside, not too sweet, and gentle — I devoured them even while full 😋 A flavor that immediately explains why they're the best sellers!

Lastly, I stopped by the restroom, and it was just as clean and well-kept as the rest of the café, so I left feeling good all the way through.

With plenty to see, plenty to enjoy, and delicious coffee and desserts on top — everything about this huge Gimhae Jillye café 'Peer a Peer' was perfect! I highly recommend it if you're looking for a Gimhae drive course or a date spot! 💚
