Mullae-dong café in Busan with chestnut tiramisu: Café Buajang

I happened upon this pretty renovated-house café, Café Buajang (카페 부아장), during a trip to Gwangalli in Busan 💌 It does not have an ocean view, but I loved its special atmosphere. It is walkable from Gwangalli Beach and Millak the Market! The café is tucked away in an alley in Millak-dong.

Café Buajang is a café near Gwangalli in Busan. It is at 26-15 Millak-dong, Suyeong-gu, Busan, open daily from 11:00 to 21:00, and regularly closed on Tuesdays.

They sell coffee, ades, Buajang's own signature drinks, refreshing gelato ice cream, and parfaits too ❤️ The coffee and drink prices were so reasonable :) A basic iced Americano is only ₩4,500—wow.

For dessert, there are tiramisu and cheesecake! They look a bit like cupcakes and are so cute 🥹 There were lots of cake flavors, including Berry Berry cheesecake and Oreo tiramisu, so it was nice to choose whatever suited your taste :)

The whole café is so lush and pretty 🍀 It feels like stepping into an indoor garden!

Especially, the view through Café Buajang's floor-to-ceiling windows and all the natural light pouring in are just sooo pretty... 🥹

The owner couple are truly so kind...! This is the kind of café that lifts your mood 🫶 The crochet sculptures dotted around the café also caught my eye. They made them themselves! Such talented hands... 💛

Go farther inside and there is another space! The café is way bigger than I expected, haha.

The wood tones and wooden furniture really caught my eye...! The husband-owner made the furniture himself. You can choose from all sorts of seating, including group tables, tables for two, sofa seats, and solo seats :) There were quite a few people visiting alone too. I actually saw someone working outside, which was kind of amazing... 🫢 What a talented owner couple.. 💛 You can really feel their touch throughout the café!

The coffee and milk tea were nutty and so delicious too! I was especially happy with the basic iced Americano.. 🫶

Best menu: chestnut tiramisu

The chestnut tiramisu is the best menu here, so of course I ordered it! It was trendy for a while after Culinary Class Wars, haha. The cupcake-like look is cute too, right?

With moist cream, a Lotus biscuit base, nutty chestnut cream, and little pieces of chestnut to bite into, this chestnut tiramisu was sweet and nutty.. 🤎 It just melts away as soon as it hits your mouth...! Such a perfect dessert with coffee, agreed.

I recommend Café Buajang as a café near Gwangalli and in Millak-dong, Busan. It is a pretty renovated-house café in a Gwangalli alley, run by a kind owner couple. I recommend the chestnut tiramisu and coffee 🤎
