Today I'm reviewing a brunch café I really love. I got a discount, but this is a review I paid for myself, so here's the real deal.
It's on the 7th floor of Bada Maru, 29 Minrak Sudoro, Suyeong-gu, Busan, open daily 9:00–22:30 (last order 22:00), with underground parking.
Why the Minrak branch is the best Working Holiday location
Working Holiday has several branches and I've been to all three, but let me explain in this review why Minrak is the best. First off, there's parking⭐️ super important... Since it's on the 7th floor of Bada Maru, you can use the underground lot, which made it stress-free even on a day out with the baby.
The place is really spacious! Especially these days, places that look pretty in photos can turn out to have cramped tables or awkward flow once you're actually there, but Working Holiday Minrak had an overall comfortable atmosphere to eat in, which I loved. It's fine for friends or family, and just as easy for a casual meetup. And it's very clean.
Window sea-view seats, the terrace and the Gwangan Bridge view
The window seats at Working Holiday Minrak give you a full view of Marine City, Gwangan Bridge, and Gwangalli Beach all at once. Today I got lucky and sat right at that window spot with the ocean view in front of me.
There are also lots of plants, and this kind of plant interior is so pretty..🍀
Minrak has a terrace, and there are seats out there too, which was so nice. Once the weather warms up a bit more, I'm trying the outdoor seats! And look at that view, isn't it gorgeous... it's apparently a prime spot for the fireworks festival too..!
The sky and sea were just like a painting today 🩵 On a nice day you can enjoy a cool ocean view even in daytime, and once the sun sets and the lights come on along Gwangan Bridge, it feels like a whole different mood. So it's not just a Gwangalli/Minrak spot you go to for a meal — I loved that you get great food and a great view together.

Big Brekkie (24,000 won): a brunch plate to share with a baby
The Big Brekkie is a brunch plate that comes with a house-made croissant, scrambled eggs, salad, sausage, bacon, and avocado — I shared this with the baby. They ate it up really well...
I don't know how the avocado was ripened so perfectly... it was so soft and delicious.
Chicken cream pasta and French fries (10,000 won)
Ugh, the pasta is so good. The mafaldine noodles were cooked with a nice bite, so the creamy pasta was rich without being greasy..🤍 There were big chunks of chicken in it, but somehow the mushrooms were even tastier to me. I am a mushroom lover, after all. The French fries dipped in chipotle sauce had a slight kick that cut through the oiliness — so good, seriously. Highly recommend!!
Actually I've tried other menu items here before too, and they were all delicious... so whatever you order, you'll be satisfied.

Colorful spaces around the café are hard to pull off without looking tacky, but the owner clearly has good taste. It's decorated prettily and harmoniously.
Here's my son, thrilled at the sight of the ocean..! Wherever you turn, this place is full of pretty photo spots..🩵
Final verdict: is Working Holiday Minrak worth it for Gwangalli brunch?
If you're looking for a good-vibe restaurant in Minrak-dong, I recommend Working Holiday Minrak..🤍🤍🤍 You can enjoy pasta and lots of other menu items, and the relaxed store atmosphere makes it suitable for dates as well as family meals or gatherings. The tables are spacious enough for group visits too, and with the Gwangan Bridge view and plant interior on top, you really get to soak in the atmosphere while you eat. And since it opens at 9am, I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a Gwangalli brunch café.
