In short
Damso Main Branch is a private-room Korean beef barbecue restaurant in Dong-myeon, Yangsan, Gyeongnam. For my dad’s birthday, my parents and I had assorted grilled beef, beef soybean-paste ramen, and cold buckwheat noodles. Verdict: a relaxed, delicious choice for treating parents to a special meal.

A private-room Korean beef restaurant in Yangsan for my parents’ birthday
This time, I visited Damso Main Branch (담소 본점) for my dad’s birthday. We could enjoy our meal comfortably in a private room, so it seemed like a great spot for family gatherings, formal family introductions, or company dinners!
Parking and heading up to the eighth floor
Damso Main Branch is on the eighth floor of the building next to Yangsan Jeil Hospital :) If you’re driving, search for 253 Geumo-ro, Dong-myeon, Yangsan-si and use the underground parking lot. Parking is validated for up to three hours, and there’s parking down to basement level 2, so there was plenty of space!

Up to the eighth floor by elevator we go~ When you get off, look to the left and the Damso directions make it easy to find. 😊 The exterior was already giving off such an upscale, polished vibe! It felt perfect for a special-day visit.
The reserved room and group-room atmosphere
As soon as we entered, the staff gave us such a warm welcome! 😊 Once I gave them the reservation name, they showed us straight to our prepared room, haha. The service was kind and quick, so we could start the meal in a great mood :)

Maybe because we had reserved ahead, but the table was neatly set when we entered the room! Seeing everything so tidily prepared made us feel looked after, and I was already excited before eating :) Damso Main Branch is made up entirely of private rooms! They were well soundproofed, spacious, and comfortable, so they seemed just right for family gatherings, formal family introductions, company dinners, business meetings, and all kinds of get-togethers 👍 Each room also has air conditioning and power outlets, which was extra convenient!
I was curious about the group rooms too, so I took a quick peek, haha. There are various options from six to ten seats, so it looked easy to choose according to your group size :) They can open up the space, and I heard it can accommodate up to 26 people! There was even a place to store belongings, haha.

There was a big window in the room, so it didn’t feel stuffy at all! If anything, the open view made me feel more relaxed >< Seeing the sunset made the atmosphere even lovelier 🌅
Choosing from assorted grilled Korean beef

Damso is a charcoal-grilled Korean beef specialist serving top-grade 1++ hanwoo (Korean native beef) :) They offer only beef personally selected by the owner, including harder-to-find specialty cuts in Yangsan such as outside skirt and hanging tender! It was nice that we could start with an assorted platter and then add only the cuts we wanted afterward :)

They had a wide range of alcoholic drinks, and corkage is available if you’d like! Corkage is ₩20,000 per bottle :)
Ordering Assorted A, B, and meal dishes
- 1 serving Assorted A
- 2 servings Assorted B
- Beef soybean-paste ramen
- Mul-naengmyeon (cold buckwheat noodles)
- Steamed rice
- 1 bottle of beer
- 1 can of Zero Cola

The basic table setting came with pickled chili peppers, pickled chives, cucumber pickles, pickled onions, and salt :) Every single one went so well with the beef,, 🥩 There were also potatoes, mushrooms, ssam (wrap leaves), white kimchi, and garlic—such a satisfying spread :)

Damso Main Branch even provided each person with their own tongs and scissors, so everyone could grill their meat comfortably :) They use premium natural binchotan charcoal, apparently! Grilling over charcoal added even more aroma and made the beef taste even better :)

Ahh~ Finally, the 1++ Korean beef is here~~ 🥩✨ Such gorgeous-looking beef >____< Just looking at it made me want to get it on the grill right away, haha.

From left to right, it’s Assorted B, Assorted A, and Assorted B, hahaha. The staff kindly explained each cut too!! One platter of meat per person is basically the rule, haha. Just grill it yourself to the doneness you like~ Working those tongs hard 👀 lol
Everyone has their own preference, but I think the key with beef is eating it a little underdone, haha. Even though the cuts were thick, they were so tender they practically melted in my mouth ㅠㅠ🤤 They were still tender and full of juices even cooked through! Maybe because both the charcoal and hanwoo were so good, the flavor was really clean! Number one among all the beef I’ve had so far,, 🤤 Everything was delicious, but I highly recommend the hanging tender and chuck flap!!!

Sometimes dipped in salt, sometimes with onion, haha.

And yum yum with the pickled chives my mom really loved, hahaha. I felt even happier because my parents enjoyed it so much, haha.

Damso was so incredibly good that I was sad to see it disappear,, 🐂💛 With every bite, I kept thinking, “Is it gone already?!” haha. Damso’s specialty cuts are really delicious, so I’d recommend Assorted B for your first order! Beef and beer are a classic pairing~ 🍺🥩 I had to drive, so only my parents got to drink ^^.. haha. We clinked glasses together and had such a lovely time for the first time in a while :)
And when you need to add an order or need help, you can press the bell on the table! It makes a “moo~” 🐂 sound, lol. I pressed it to order our meal, then burst out laughing at the sudden moo, haha.

Finishing with beef soybean-paste ramen and mul-naengmyeon
Finally, the meal dishes are here~~ 🍚✨ After the meat, we properly enjoyed our finishing dishes too, haha. Let me show you the beef soybean-paste ramen first~ The look of it was absolutely crazy 🤤🔥 If you want ramen and doenjang-jjigae (soybean-paste stew), I highly recommend this menu,, haha.

There was quite a lot of ramen, and it was generously packed with ingredients, haha. It even had Korean beef in it! 🥩🍜 Slurp up the ramen~ then add a little steamed rice to the broth,,,!!

Then you get soybean-paste stew too~~ It’s a two-for-one menu: ramen and soybean-paste stew, hahaha. Highly recommend it!!!

My dad’s pick: mul-naengmyeon, haha. Cool mul-naengmyeon with beef is such a great combination too. My dad had saved a piece of beef to eat with the noodles,,! As expected, this pairing can’t possibly be bad!!!

Hahaha, clean plates again today,, 🥩✨ My parents ate so well, which made me even happier and prouder ❤️ It kind of felt like I’d done my filial duty~🥰

For reference, the restroom is in the hallway of the building, and it was kept nice and clean, haha. Keep that in mind if you visit, and I hope you have a happy time in a great place with great people on a great day! 🤍
