In short
Eonyang Dak Kalguksu Tongdosa Branch is a chicken kalguksu restaurant near Tongdosa in Yangsan, Gyeongnam. I added chicken to Eonyang-style kalguksu and enjoyed the big pieces of chicken, generous noodles, lightly beef-bone-like broth, and fresh kimchi. Verdict: a seriously filling meal.

A hanok-style chicken kalguksu restaurant five minutes from Tongdosa
It is at 6 Tongdosa-ro, Habuk-myeon, Yangsan, Gyeongnam—five minutes by car from Tongdosa and near the IC!! I found it while searching nearby before visiting Tongdosa that day~ I love the hanok-style exterior, too.

Eonyang Dak Kalguksu Tongdosa Branch has its own parking lot, which is great. It is super spacious haha.

Hours and a spacious, tidy interior
Okay, let’s head inside~ Hours are 11:00–21:00 (Thu–Tue), with last orders at 20:00, and it is regularly closed every Wednesday!! I love that there is no break time, and since it only closes on Wednesdays, it is open most days~ The inside is spacious and tidy, too.

A menu from chicken kalguksu to braised chicken
There are lots of menu options~ First is their best menu, chicken kalguksu (knife-cut noodles), followed by chicken gomtang, Eonyang-style kalguksu, chewy dumplings, spicy braised chicken, and soy-sauce braised chicken!! More than anything, the prices are really reasonable, right!? Soju and beer are ₩4,000 each. Wow.

Kimchi and sides at the self-service station
The restrooms are clean and separate for men and women, which is nice. There is a self-service station, too. It has no fewer than two types of kimchi!! One spicy, one less spicy~ The spicy one is seriously hot, so be careful.. haha. I cannot handle spice, so I passed right away. There are also onions, ssamjang (seasoned soybean paste), and danmuji (pickled radish), which I love.

A generous bowl of Eonyang-style kalguksu with extra chicken
Eonyang Dak Kalguksu Tongdosa Branch says its kalguksu is made with chicken bone broth simmered for a long time and perilla seeds~ It is already seasoned, so there is no need to add salt. They also make their kimchi fresh every day~ Since it is geotjeori (fresh kimchi), it is fresh and tangy!!
I ordered Eonyang-style kalguksu with extra chicken~ Wow, look at that presentation.. There are two huge chunks of chicken in it. This is the regular Eonyang chicken kalguksu with extra noodles that my friend ordered—there was already chicken this big in it, and you can think of it as having two pieces like this!

First, I had a sip of the broth. It was so refreshing, and I liked that it had a slight beef-bone-broth flavor~ It was seasoned just right, so I did not need salt either.

The chicken was so big that I had to take it out onto a small plate—so huge haha. Since I added chicken and had two pieces, I had to take it out twice haha. The kalguksu noodles were soft, and perhaps because they are low-temperature aged, they had a nice chew, too.

Eating it with kimchi and chicken
As expected, kalguksu with kimchi is insanely good haha. Even after I thought I had eaten a lot, there were still quite a lot of noodles.

Pulling off the tender chicken meat and eating it together with the kalguksu was absolutely delicious, too.

Adding kimchi on top and eating all three together was an unbeatable combination haha.

Finishing with spicy seasoning and pepper
If it feels a little rich or bland, add the spicy seasoning and pepper! The spicy seasoning gave it a pleasantly spicy kick. The chicken was so big and there were so many noodles that I was really full!! I finished everything, and I thought my stomach was going to burst hahaha.
Waddling my way to the counter~ They accept Zero Pay. Ice cream is ₩1,000, and there are lots of varieties, so keep that in mind!
