Moshi Moshi PNU Branch near Pusan National University’s main gate

I went back to Moshi Moshi, a great Pusan National University restaurant I had visited before. The sushi was fresh and delicious, but honestly, even the tempura was really good. It made me think, ah, there’s a reason this longtime favorite has been loved for so long.
Moshi Moshi PNU Branch is near Pusan National University’s main gate! Its Japanese-style exterior and menu board by the entrance let you look over the menu before going in.

Inside, the spacious, tidy interior has a warm natural-wood feel, with tables set comfortably apart, so it never felt cramped and was great for a relaxed meal. The large windows along one side also made it bright and cozy.
You can even watch the sushi being made toward the back—the chef was hard at work haha 🍣

You order on the tablet at the table, and they are also running a receipt-review event, so do give it a try.

Ordering flounder and salmon sushi with a sashimi platter
The Moshi Moshi menu includes udon platters, soba platters, sushi platters, sashimi platters, salmon soy-marinated rice bowls, roe rice platters, and a range of set meals. There are plenty of sides too, including yaki udon, chashu, and shrimp tempura, so please refer to the photos for the full menu.

Everything we ordered, laid out across a full table! Just look at that mouthwatering spread.

What comes with the 10-piece flounder and salmon sushi
Here is the flounder and salmon sushi I ordered! You get half salmon sushi and half flounder sushi, along with a vegetable salad, tofu salad, three kinds of tempura, and clear soup.
The tofu salad paired soft sundubu (silken tofu) beautifully with sesame dressing! It was nutty and smooth, making it a nice light bite before the sushi.

The flounder sushi had a lovely chewy texture from the first bite, with a mild, clean flavor!

The salmon sushi just melted in my mouth! At places that do not handle salmon well, it can sometimes taste fishy, but this was soft and moist with none of that fishiness.

Three kinds of crispy tempura
The three kinds of tempura were shrimp, sweet potato, and kabocha squash!

They were wonderfully crisp outside and moist inside, so the texture was really good. The batter was not thick, and the ingredients’ flavors came through clearly—this place really does tempura well too.

A sashimi platter that comes with udon too
The sashimi platter comes with seven pieces of sashimi, eight pieces of sushi, three kinds of tempura, and udon! There are two versions, “Good” and “Better,” and we ordered the Good one.

The sushi selection looked great and had such a nice sheen, right? And the taste? Need I even say it!

The udon noodles were bouncy, and the broth was clean with proper savory depth! It went perfectly with the sushi. A place where even the udon is delicious—I officially approve of it as a Pusan National University sushi spot!

The sashimi included tuna, milchi (gizzard shad), and salmon. Everything was fresh and clean-tasting, and I really enjoyed it.

The batter was fried nice and crisp, while the shrimp was plump and springy—such delicious shrimp tempura 🍤 I recommend ordering extra shrimp tempura too! It was seriously that good 🤤 The sushi is delicious here, but I really think the tempura deserves its own hype as well.
The sushi was fresh and delicious, and I was so satisfied with the generous meal, from the udon and tempura to everything else, at Moshi Moshi PNU Branch, a Pusan National University sushi favorite!
