Gangseo Mexican restaurant with free tortilla refills: Taqueros

Taqueros Magok Main Branch location and hours

It is on the second floor of GMG Tower, 16 Magokjungang 6-ro, Gangseo-gu, Seoul. It is open Tuesday through Friday from 11:30 to 21:30, with a break from 15:00 to 17:00 and last orders at 14:00 and 20:30. On weekends, it is open from 11:30 to 21:30, with last orders at 20:30; parking in the building comes with 2 hours of support.

A restaurant atmosphere like a Mexican pub

Mexican food is one of my absolute, absolute favorite foods from around the world, and today I visited Taqueros, a great Magok spot where you can enjoy delicious tacos and fajitas in an atmosphere that feels straight out of Mexico!

From the entrance, the exotic sign and hip vibe really stood out.

Once inside, the vintage framed pictures and lighting made it feel completely like a Mexican pub! The tables were nicely spaced out, and there were comfy sofa seats too, so it would be perfect for a Magok date or a get-together. There are group tables as well, so I think it would be great for a pre-wedding gathering in Magok too.

QR ordering and the Signature Couple Set

At each table, we could easily order for ourselves using the QR code attached to the table. There were wet wipes, disposable gloves, hot sauce, and ketchup on the table too. We ordered the Taqueros Signature Couple Set for 2, with a refreshing orange ade! With a set order, ade is ₩1,500 off, so I definitely recommend ordering one.

First, crispy nacho chips that seemed freshly fried and warm cheese dipping sauce came out. Dipping a chip generously into that thick cheese sauce was nutty and salty, and I just couldn't stop reaching for them. The nachos could be refilled by QR code too :) The orange ade was tangy and rich, so it went so well with both the fajitas and tacos!

The Signature Couple Set spread

Finally, here is the star of the day: the Signature Couple Set spread~~~ With steaming-hot fajitas and a whole load of tacos, it was visually overwhelming from the start, and every photo came out so pretty no matter how casually I snapped it.

Sizzling fajitas piled with shrimp and meat

The fajitas arrived sizzling in a cast-iron pan, generously topped with shrimp, pulled pork, chorizo, grilled chicken, and a rich cheese sauce! There were five sauces—salsa, sour cream, jalapeños, tomato salsa, and guacamole—and every sauce except guacamole, plus the tortillas, could be refilled for free.

Under the shrimp, grilled chicken, chorizo, and pulled pork were onions and beautifully browned rice, and that was such a treat! It was so delicious wrapped up with the tacos.

Fish taco and chicken taco flavors

We tried the tacos one by one first! They were piled so generously that the toppings were almost overflowing. The fish taco was completely crispy outside and tender inside! My mom enjoyed it so much. I had a bite too, and it is the kind of flavor even people who do not like fish would really enjoy! I had the chicken taco, and the tender thigh meat was crispy, warm, and soooo delicious. The tacos were big and generous, so even one was surprisingly filling.

Refilling tortillas for the very last wrap

Laying out one warm tortilla, piling on all the ingredients I wanted, then adding guacamole and sauces to taste before rolling it up was just so delicious ㅠㅠ There were endlessly different combinations to wrap up, so we even got a tortilla refill and ate until we were bursting, right through the very last wrap!

There were cute taco goods by the counter, so I took a photo. They also had a points program and a Lucky Draw event! You get 1 coin for every ₩60,000 spent.

Magok Taqueros was perfect, with generous portions, a hip atmosphere, and delicious Mexican food! It would be great for a Magok date, and I think it would be such a nice restaurant for an anniversary in Magok too. When you are craving proper Mexican food in Magok, be sure to visit at least once :)
