Adam: a Western-style bar on the walk from Jeonju Hanok Village to Gaekri-dan-gil

I visited Adam, a really pretty, cozy Western-style bar-restaurant I found during my trip to Jeonju Hanok Village ❤️ I stopped by while walking from Jeonju Hanok Village toward Gaekri-dan-gil, and the vibe was so pretty and inviting from the outside that I loved it the moment I walked in!

Inside, there were people celebrating birthdays and families out for a meal together. The space itself is small but has such a nice atmosphere that it seemed great for a date, or even a special-occasion dinner.

What I liked most was that they sell everything from wine to soju! We'd already eaten a light meal before coming, so instead of going all out, we looked for something light and ended up ordering the white ragu pasta that showed up in a lot of reviews.

Wow… this was a total win ❤️ The sauce was so smooth and savory, delicious from the first bite, and I kept reaching for more. Since we'd already eaten, we ordered soju right away, and surprisingly it paired really well with the pasta — who knew, haha?

The pasta-and-soju combo was better than I expected, so I think it'd be a great stop if you want a light drink while traveling. Also, I always mess up rigatoni pasta at home ㅠㅠ so I was eating this thinking, how did they cook it so well, haha.

Rigatoni is tricky to cook, and seeing it done just right made it clear the owner really puts heart into the cooking!!

The salad that comes with the meal, and Adam's free fried squid

The basic salad that came with the meal was also delicious. It was fresh and clean, great alongside the pasta, and what really touched me was the free side dish! When I mentioned we'd come all the way from far away to Jeonju, the owner gave us fried squid on the house, and it was amazing…!!!

The crispy fried squid was so good it disappeared in no time as a side with soju, haha. The squid itself was super fresh, the frying was extra crispy, and it was even dusted with coconut flakes for a sweet touch and extra texture, plus the tomato sauce was so good ><. With delicious food and friendly service on top, this was a place I left in a great mood during my Jeonju trip.

And these pickles here… they're almost ridiculously good. They're cut just like potato chips, and wow, the texture and flavor were both perfect!!!!! I want to learn how to make these pickles.

Is Adam a good spot for a drink while traveling in Jeonju?

If you're looking for a place with a nice atmosphere near Jeonju Hanok Village, or want good food and a drink amid the young crowd on Gaekri-dan-gil, I'd recommend Adam on Gaekri-dan-gil! Saved for next time I'm in Jeonju to try other menu items ❤️❤️🥰 If you're at Jeonju Hanok Village, definitely stop by this place on Gaekri-dan-gil that truly puts its heart into cooking — I'll be back for sure!
