Family dinner at a Jeonju Gaeksa-dan-gil Western restaurant: Adam

Today's post is an honest review of Adam, a Jeonju Gaeksa-dan-gil pasta and steak bar that's genuinely delicious.
It's a well-known blind-date spot on Gaeksa-dan-gil, and a true local favorite for affordable pasta and steak.
The vibe is nice and the owner is friendly, so I'd also recommend it as a go-to drinking spot with good food on Gaeksa-dan-gil.
Adam's hours and where to park on Gaeksa-dan-gil

Adam is open 17:00–23:00, with last order at 22:30. For parking, there's a public paid lot in front of the store toward Dwaeji Baksa (₩700/hour), and past Semo and Dagasaenggui there's the Jangmi paid lot (₩1,000/hour).

The location works well for dates, and the clean interior makes it easy to use casually as a Western-style drinking spot too.
Salad, pretzels and a drink to start at Adam
At Adam, a fresh salad came out first. Eating vegetables first was great for building up appetite, and given how clean the place is, the vegetables were carefully prepped too. With fresh ingredients, of course every dish was a big hit.
Waiting for the food with pretzel snacks, delicious smells kept drifting over.
It was nice being able to have a simple drink alongside the Western food. It's an affordable Gaeksa-dan-gil bar-style Western restaurant, so you can enjoy it without much pressure.
Aglio e olio 13,000 won and tomato pasta 14,000 won
Wow, the aglio e olio at ₩13,000 was truly delicious. I personally like an oilier aglio e olio, and this one had just the right balance with great savory depth. The noodles themselves were excellent, and the pairing with garlic was great. The portion was generous too, good for ordering a few dishes to share.
Next came the tomato pasta, and this is genuinely a top-tier pasta spot. If you want to feel like you're eating upscale pasta, I strongly recommend visiting Adam right now. The sauce was rich but not overdone — ideal. It's a whole different level from store-bought sauce.
It's a great drinking-food spot on Gaeksa-dan-gil, and one I'd definitely recommend whenever you're craving pasta.
The plating itself was done with care, which made the whole meal enjoyable. You can enjoy the pasta together with a refreshing salad.
How the meal went with my parents
Personally, the dish I enjoyed most was the aglio e olio. I visited with my parents and they were also very satisfied. If you want the best pasta on Gaeksa-dan-gil, this is the place, no question.
Pork belly steak 24,500 won with potatoes and white kimchi
After the pasta, I got curious about other menu items and ordered more. The pork belly steak has a hint of charcoal aroma, with the pork reinterpreted into something wonderfully tender. There was no off odor at all, and being reimagined in a Western style made it fun to eat.
The potatoes paired really well and were nice to eat alongside, and everything was so tender. With the protein, it was much more filling too. This is a combo I'd highly recommend for a date.
It's delicious with the sauce, but even on its own, the meat's juices had no off smell, so it was just great to eat plain.
Eating it together with the baek-kimchi (white kimchi) made it pair even better.
Is Adam worth it for Western food near Jeonju Hanok Village?
As a Western food spot near Hanok Village, Adam's own reinterpreted dishes — not your everyday pasta — make you want to try everything on the menu. Every dish was that satisfying. As a restaurant that even Jeonju locals recommend for pasta, I strongly recommend it as a top pasta spot in Jeonju.
If you come to Gaeksa-dan-gil, this is a must-visit.
