Jeonju Gaeksa-dan-gil wine bistro that re-grills sirloin steak: Adam

The whole Turtle Family showed up at Adam, a Western-style restaurant and wine bar on Jeonju's Gaeksa-dan-gil, right by Jeonju Hanok Village!!

Mama Turtle, Papa Turtle and I demolished a Jeonju date-pasta and sirloin steak feast together, and the chefs were so kind I had to share this place with you!!

What we ordered at Adam in Jeonju

The three of us ordered perilla octopus capellini, katsu-udon pasta, and sirloin steak. First up, the appetizer!! True to Adam's reputation as a Gaeksa-dan-gil favorite, it's a Korean-Western fusion collab.

The second we tasted the perilla octopus capellini, forks were flying across the table haha. Even Papa Turtle, who doesn't usually like pasta, wanted to order another one!!!!

Every other dish was gorgeous plated, too — almost too pretty to eat!!

True to its reputation as a Jeonju steak spot, the sirloin steak was legendary!!!

If you visit Adam and don't order the sirloin steak, the Turtle King will cry.

The doneness on the steak was insane. A mid-well style, plus a mashed potato — my favorite — served with a spicy sriracha-like sauce that gave it real kick!!

Adam's location, hours and parking on Gaeksa-dan-gil

Adam, the Western restaurant and wine bar on Gaeksa-dan-gil, is basically right next to Jeonju Hanok Village!! Perfect for strolling around and sightseeing along Gaeksa-dan-gil～

Hours are 17:00–23:00, closed every Tuesday, so keep that in mind～ The lighting, humidity and temperature hit just right at this hour — Adam, a great Jeonju date spot too.

Parking can be a bit tight since it's on an alley, so I'd recommend the nearby public parking lot～ On the plus side, the location's so good you can just walk over to the hanok village afterward!!

Let's step inside!! The vibe the moment the door opened was no joke. So excited～

It's an open kitchen with the kitchen fully visible through the glass!! Watching the chef cook while we waited gave us so much confidence～ You could tell they cared about every detail, down to the water glasses and utensils!!

Even the sofa was cozy and the lighting had such nice mood — I was surprised～ The vibe here is seriously so good!!! A go-to spot on Gaeksa-dan-gil in Jeonju!!

Black-toned sofas, wood-toned tables, pendant lighting — the mood is just so good～ Felt like a perfect spot for a blind date too@@

The bench seats had cute cushions too, great for photos. The table setting was perfect down to the default pretzel side!!

That's when the happy dilemma of what to order began, hehe.

Katsu-udon pasta and sirloin steak at Adam

The Turtle King's recommended menu! Katsu-udon pasta, the perfect Jeonju date-pasta for a hangover cure too!! Clams and rigatoni in tomato sauce topped with scallions — the visuals alone are insane.

One bite in and — wow, this is the taste of a hangover cure～ Cheers to tomato.

It was so good I couldn't put my spoon down!! Doesn't it just make your mouth water looking at it??

You could tell each clam was plump and full. The balance between noodles and sauce was perfect too～

Nobody in the family wanted to put their forks down. Haa, the Turtle Family really cleared it all.

We were too busy eating so the photos were rushed, but I still got some. Because it really was that good～

Now, Adam's signature sirloin steak makes its entrance!! The Jeonju steak restaurant title wasn't given for nothing!!

Asking Adam to re-grill the steak well-done

The sirloin steak arrived and the doneness was fantastic!! Papa Turtle and I both love medium-well, so we were super satisfied!!!! Art~~ nothing else compares.

But while we were drooling and digging in, we felt bad but asked, for the sake of Mama Turtle who only eats well-done...

...and they re-grilled it beautifully without a single complaint TT The chefs were so, so kind!!

Why Adam's mashed potato steals the plate

The mashed potato served alongside the sirloin steak comes with a subtly spicy kick — you absolutely have to try this!! Make sure to order it!!

Totally stuffed, we walked a loop around the hanok village (and yes, we secretly got ice cream after, don't tell anyone haha), fully enjoying Jeonju's best steak spot～

As we wrapped up the meal, we had a nice chat together. The powerful AC kept the heat away completely — such a good vibe!!

On our way to pay, the chef kindly saw us off all the way to the end. When I'm back in Jeonju, Adam is definitely on my must-visit-again list!!
