Seomyeon bakery test: air fryer vs frozen peanut bread at Daeshin
In short
Daeshin Peanut Bread Busan Seomyeon Branch is a takeaway bakery in Busanjin, Busan, that freshly bakes the famous peanut bread from Daegu's Seomun Market. The blogger took home 45 pieces of peanut bread (₩6,000) and 2 egg breads (₩4,000) and tried both methods on the shop's leaflet: an air fryer at 180°C for 50–60 seconds, and eating the bread frozen, known as 'eolmeok'. The air-fried peanut bread came out even crispier than it was fresh from the shop. Daeshin Peanut Bread is an affordable commute snack or gift near Seomyeon Station.

How the egg bread and peanut bread tasted
The egg bread at Daeshin Peanut Bread Busan Seomyeon Branch was packed with egg inside — the height of nuttiness — while the peanut bread was soft and warm fresh out of the oven. The nutty aroma kept wafting up the whole way home; it was hard to resist opening the bag early.
Egg bread: the dough itself wasn't too dry — appropriately sweet and soft — and it was packed with egg inside, absolutely peak nuttiness! A hearty flavor that works well as a snack when you're hungry or even a light meal substitute.
Peanut bread: made fresh every morning with their own dough, full of nutty flavor, generously stuffed with nutty peanuts inside. Not to mention how soft and warm it is fresh out of the oven — it had that nostalgic taste that just makes you smile.

How to enjoy peanut bread even more: air fryer and eating it frozen
The leaflet Daeshin Peanut Bread Busan Seomyeon Branch gave us had clear instructions for reheating and storing the bread if it goes soft, so I tried them out exactly as written at home!

1. The air fryer combo (highly recommended!)
Method: Run it in an air fryer preheated to 180°C for about 50–60 seconds, then let it cool at room temperature for at least 1 minute.
Taste: As it cools for about a minute, the surface moisture evaporates and it gets increasingly cracker-like — crisp outside, moist inside. Honestly, the outside got even crispier than fresh from the store, while the inside stayed moist and nutty. This was the best method by far!

2. Freezing it — the 'eolmeok' (eat-it-frozen) method (ice peanut bread)
Storage: If you plan to keep it for more than 4–7 days, freezing is recommended.
Taste notes: Exactly as the leaflet said, taking it straight out of the freezer for an 'ice peanut bread' style suited me perfectly, since I've always loved eating frozen bread haha. The frozen dough and peanuts turn crunchy yet chewy in texture, becoming a surprisingly appealing novelty dessert! Perfect as a cooling summer treat when it's hot out.

Final verdict
At a great price, you get 100% peanut butter, freshly baked egg bread, and crispy nutty peanut bread all in one place — very satisfying overall. It's a great Seomyeon food find, whether as a commute snack or reheated crispy in an air fryer at home as a dessert.

If you're near Seomyeon Station looking for a unique and delicious snack, I'd recommend stopping by Daeshin Peanut Bread Busan Seomyeon Branch to experience its special nutty flavor!
