A neat Korean restaurant near Songjeong Beach
Today’s stop was Songjeongok Songjeong Main Branch, a great Korean restaurant in Songjeong, Busan. Its Korean-style interior has such a lovely atmosphere, and everything from the mains to the side dishes came out generously and tasted fantastic—just the kind of Songjeong spot that would be perfect for taking your parents.
There is space for three cars in front of the restaurant, and if it is full, you can park for free along the road in front.
Outside the restaurant

Songjeongok Songjeong Main Branch is close to Songjeong Beach. From the exterior alone, the neat Korean-style design gives it such a nice atmosphere.
There is an ingredient traceability notice by the entrance. You can check the dates the seafood arrived and the rice was milled, so you can eat with confidence! I visited on September 8, and both the seafood and rice had arrived or been milled that very day, haha. A delicious Korean set meal made with fresh ingredients! Let’s hurry inside and eat~
From the first floor to second-floor group seating
Inside the restaurant

Like the exterior, the interior is neatly decorated with a traditional, local feel. The first floor was full, so I could not get proper photosㅠ There were couples on dates and lots of ladies visiting for gatherings too~ With this tidy Korean-style ambiance, it feels like somewhere parents would really enjoy!

Up the stairs is the second floor. The full-height windows give it an open view, and there are plenty of tables plus group seating, so it looked great for visiting with a larger party. The whole place is spotlessly clean, too!

They have baby chairs ready, too~

Ordering three abalone pot-rice sets
The menu is simple. The basic menu item is the abalone pot-rice set, at ₩19,000 per person! Add just ₩4,000 for a hinoki-steamed dish, but we ordered the basic set for three. They also have a side dish of whole boiled octopus.

The food looked even more tempting laid out as a full table spread. Centered around the bossam (boiled pork wraps) were marinated raw crab, tofu, kimchi, dried radish strips, cockle salad, white kimchi, and green-onion kimchi. Salad, stir-fried squid, and soybean-paste stew came separately too.

Doesn’t the bossam look wonderfully tender? It is soft pork collar bossam.

The stir-fried squid was plump, with a subtle smoky wok aroma—it was an absolute rice thief.

The salad had yuja dressing, so it was bright and tangy and really woke up the appetite!

The doenjang-jjigae (soybean-paste stew) had that deep, homemade soybean-paste flavor and was delicious. It was a little on the salty side.

Lettuce, cabbage, and peppers for wrapping the bossam also came with the meal, and each person gets an abalone pot rice. It was such a generous spread for a price in the ₩10,000 range per person.

The abalone pot rice was loaded with scrambled egg, abalone, scallions, radish sprouts, and creamy abalone innards sauce. The portion is seriously generous.

Once I mixed it all together, it was light yet nutty, with incredible savory depth. There were lots of big pieces of abalone too, making every bite satisfyingly chewy. It was not overly seasoned, so it was perfect with the other side dishes.

The pot rice went especially perfectly with the marinated raw crab, cockle salad, and stir-fried squid!

An amazing combination with the green-onion kimchi too, haha.

The pork collar bossam is a must-try
Time for the main dish, the bossam~ Since it uses pork collar, it had noticeably more lean meat than fatty cuts, which I loved. It was tender, soft, free of any porky smell, and delicious.

Cabbage wraps are simply the best way to eat bossam~ The pot rice was delicious, but this place is seriously a bossam gem. The bossam was more generous than it looked, and the pot rice was nearly the equivalent of one and a half bowls of rice, so we left after a filling, satisfying meal.
Why it is great for meals with parents and gatherings
Such a generous Korean set meal for a price in the ₩10,000 range per person! Everything from the main bossam and abalone pot rice to the side dishes was delicious. The neat Korean-style interior is lovely, clean, and comfortable, making it just right for taking your parents. With group seating available, it is great for gatherings too.
