Haeundae restaurant date with my child: two cream dishes at Bueokgan

I got to go on a date with just my kid after a long while~ Instead of traveling far, I wanted to eat something good together and just talk, so I picked Bueokgan restaurant in Haeundae~

Where is Bueokgan Haeundae Branch, and is there parking?

Bueokgan Haeundae Branch is near Dalmaji-gil in Haeundae, so it was easy to find~ We came by car, and since there was parking available, we could pull in without any hassle. After parking, we headed up to the restaurant. It's on the second floor, so you find it right as you go up~

From the entrance it already felt clean and warm. We came with a kid, but the vibe wasn't too casual or too formal either, which I liked.

Once inside, the space was bigger than I expected, with tables set with plenty of room between them~ Overall it had a clean yet comfortable feel, the kind of place that'd work well for a family meal out or a date.

With sunlight streaming in~ I was really looking forward to the food in such a beautiful space ♡

It's so full of pretty details I wondered why we hadn't come sooner~~!

What's on the menu at Bueokgan Haeundae Branch?

We sat down and looked over the menu slowly. There's a wide range — pasta, pizza, risotto, steak and more — so it'd be great for a group where everyone wants something different~ If you order pizza or pasta as a set, it comes with soup and salad too, which is a really nice touch~~

After some deliberation, we ordered carbonara and truffle mushroom cream gnocchi that day~ Since we'd be sharing with a kid, we leaned toward soft, mild dishes rather than anything too spicy or strong.

As the dishes came out one by one, the table filled up fast~ It was a nice-sized spread for two to share, so we each took a bit of whatever we wanted.

Carbonara: a thumbs-up from the kid too

We started with the carbonara~ The smooth cream sauce coated the noodles nicely, giving it a savory, rich texture that was easy to eat.

My kid took a bite and gave it a thumbs-up, eating it up happily~ When you eat out with a kid, having even one dish they enjoy makes things a lot easier, and this time we got to share the carbonara together~

The noodles matched the sauce so well that forkful after forkful, the plate emptied out fast haha

What does the truffle mushroom cream gnocchi taste like?

The dish I was most curious about was the truffle mushroom cream gnocchi~

The gnocchi's signature chewy, soft texture came together with the mushrooms and cream sauce, and a subtle hint of truffle aroma made it taste completely different from the carbonara~ With the mushrooms mixed in, the texture felt even richer, and eating the cream sauce with the gnocchi gave a great balance of soft and chewy.

There was a slight kick of spiciness that worried me a bit, but my kid handles spicy food well, so they kept saying it was tasty even with the heat ^^

Both dishes were cream-based, but once we actually ate them together, the flavor and texture were different enough that switching between them was just right~

Eating good food like this while talking with each other made for plenty good a date on its own~

If you're looking for somewhere to eat with a kid in Haeundae or a spot for a family meal out, Bueokgan restaurant seems like a solid choice~ Having dishes like pasta and gnocchi that are easy to share with a kid made choosing simple, and being able to park made driving there low-hassle too.

We had carbonara and truffle mushroom cream gnocchi this time, but next time I'd like to try other dishes one by one~ It had been a while since I sat across from my kid over good food and talked slowly, so this Haeundae date stayed with me — not just for the food, but for the time we spent together~
