Jeonpo restaurant with gochujang ranch baby potato fries: Brassway
In short
Brassway is a five-table Western restaurant on a Jeonpo-daero alley in Busanjin, Busan. Booked for a weekday lunch with mom, the meal at Brassway covered the galbi pasta, sous vide flat iron steak, baby potato fries and orange vanilla ice cream. Mom said the galbi pasta alone was worth a return trip, and the baby potato fries kept disappearing thanks to their gochujang ranch sauce.

Why Brassway in Jeonpo for a weekday lunch with mom
Last week it feels like mom and I went out for lunch together so many times, haha. Once the kids are off at kindergarten or school, the two of us get to eat leisurely and catch up on this and that — I really love that. This day too, we were chatting about what to eat for lunch and I immediately searched up Jeonpo brunch spots.
That's when Brassway (브라스웨이) at Seomyeon Jeonpo caught my eye. From the galbi pasta — built on the father-in-law's 20-year braised galbi recipe reworked Brassway-style — to the steaks and side dishes, everything looked delicious. So we went, and it exceeded expectations! Mom said she wants to come back just for the galbi pasta, and I want to come back for the baby potato fries and the other menu items we haven't tried yet.
We ordered Brassway galbi pasta, sous vide flat iron steak, Brassway baby potato fries, and orange vanilla ice cream. I'd recommend this exact combo. ✨
What is the atmosphere like inside Brassway?
Brassway fits perfectly with the vibe of the Seomyeon Jeonpo alleys. Seomyeon's Jeonpo street is known as a date spot, and walking through the little alleyways is fun just for browsing all the cute, pretty shops. The vintage interior, plants and knickknacks tucked everywhere — totally my style! It feels like stumbling on a small European restaurant in the middle of the Jeonpo alleys.

Do you need a reservation? Brassway tables, hours and parking
There are only 5 tables total, in a cozy, intimate setting. We had booked ahead, and it seemed like most other guests had too. By lunch peak the place filled up fast — a few groups who showed up without a reservation had to turn back for lack of seats. Toward the end of the peak, I noticed someone dining alone, enjoying a solo meal — I'll keep this place in mind for that too. Since Brassway doesn't have many tables, I'd recommend booking ahead if you're visiting for lunch or dinner.

- We used a nearby paid parking lot, and they support ₩1,000 of the parking fee

There's a whole checklist to manage when eating out with kids, haha. But lunch with mom is genuinely relaxing — I get to actually take in the interior and savor each dish bite by bite. I think this is exactly why mom-daughter dates like this are so nice.

How does the Brassway galbi pasta taste?
The Brassway galbi pasta is a slightly spicy braised-galbi pasta, with tender galbi (braised short rib) meat and pasta cooked just right. It's an open kitchen, so we could watch the cooking happen — with the crowd and dishes coming out in order, we ended up dead last, haha. But it was worth the wait with mom, because from the first bite I couldn't stop reaching for more. They said it's a Jeonpo pasta favorite, and I have to agree.

It feels like a Korean-style reinterpretation of pasta. The big galbi bone is the visual centerpiece — twirling the noodles around your fork and eating them with the galbi is weirdly addictive. If you're used to Western-style pasta, this is definitely a different experience. If you're on the hunt for Jeonpo pasta and want something a bit different, go for the galbi pasta.

Baby potato fries: the gochujang ranch sauce is the point
The Brassway baby potato fries are a side dish that's crispy outside, soft and moist inside. If mom's pick was the galbi pasta, mine was these baby potato fries — the kind of flavor that keeps popping into my head. The sauce underneath is the real highlight; dunking the potatoes into the gochujang ranch sauce and herbs was so good.

It seems like nothing much, but you can't stop reaching for it. Potato, cheese, lemon-dill, bacon, and gochujang ranch sauce came together in a well-composed plating with a range of flavors and textures — nothing like your average fries.

How was the sous vide flat iron steak at Brassway?
And the main dish, sous vide flat iron steak. Steak is one of the things mom and I always order at a restaurant, and Brassway's steak was pretty good too.

It came pre-sliced, which made it easy to eat, and the inside had a pink tinge, cooked moist and tender. Paired with sweet pumpkin purée and salt, each bite had a nice balance of subtle sweetness and saltiness. The mini carrots and mushrooms on the side were also nicely grilled and easy to eat alongside. With pasta and steak both this good, I could see why people come here looking for Jeonpo Western food.

Even the pickles were plated colorfully and prettily.

From the tender meat in the galbi pasta, to the steak and its sides, to the sauce combo on the baby potatoes — every dish had its own distinct character, which made me curious about the other menu items I haven't tried yet. This is a great restaurant to visit when you want a Jeonpo brunch with mom, a friend, or a partner.

Ending the meal with orange vanilla ice cream
The final finish: orange vanilla ice cream! You really have to get this!!! It's a menu item you can receive for free if you participate in a receipt review, and the refreshing orange jam plus herbs and sweet vanilla ice cream made for a great after-meal treat. After richer, heavier dishes like the galbi pasta and steak, this dessert felt like a refreshing, clean finish.

After finishing our meal and looking around again, I realized it wasn't just the food — the space itself was really pretty. The staff were kind, and every single menu item was exactly to my taste! It was a genuinely enjoyable meal. If you're looking for a Jeonpo brunch spot and want to try something a little different, save Brassway for later. 🥩🍷
