Yangyang meat restaurant for white kimchi noodles: Yeoyejeong
In short
Yeoyejeong is a charcoal-grill meat restaurant at 49 Ssangsolbaegi-gil in Seo-myeon, Yangyang, Gangwon, certified as an exemplary restaurant and packed with locals. On a Sokcho–Yangyang trip the writer waited for a table, then grilled flower galbisal (marbled chuck flap tail) over charcoal and ordered baek-kimchi guksu, noodles in tangy-sweet white kimchi broth. The Yeoyejeong flower galbisal came out tender and smoky, and the white kimchi noodles made the pairing worth the wait.

Why we chose Yeoyejeong, a Yangyang meat restaurant
I recently went on a Sokcho-Yangyang trip and stopped by Yeoyejeong, a Yangyang meat restaurant, to eat some meat haha. Apparently meat is a surprisingly popular thing to eat around Sokcho and Yangyang. So while looking for a good Yangyang meat restaurant, I found this quiet spot called Yeoyejeong, a local favorite in Yangyang.

It's tucked inside a quiet neighborhood, with a wide space out front, and the building itself looks a bit like a log cabin haha.

Yeoyejeong, this Yangyang meat restaurant, is a certified exemplary restaurant and is apparently already a well-loved favorite among locals.
Yeoyejeong's location, hours and seating
Here's the location of Yeoyejeong, this Yangyang meat restaurant. Open from 11:30 AM to 9:00 PM.

There are quite a lot of tables, and every seat has its own grilling setup, so at this local Yangyang favorite you can just sit wherever's comfortable ^^ When I went, there were seriously so many customers that I actually had to wait... So it really is true that this is a popular Yangyang meat restaurant...
What's on the Yeoyejeong menu
Menu

This is the menu board at Yeoyejeong, this Yangyang meat restaurant.

There's marinated ribs, fresh ribs, pork jowl, pork belly, pork tail and other pork options, plus beef options like chuck flap tail and flower galbisal. For side menu there's baek-kimchi guksu, janchi guksu (feast noodles), yeojeong naengmyeon, bomb steamed egg, kimchi jjigae, doenjang jjigae, sotbap, and plain rice. I agonized over it for a while but the flower galbisal and baek-kimchi guksu looked so good that I ordered one of each.

Yeoyejeong, being a proper local Yangyang favorite, also has cold drinks. There's alcohol too if you want a drink. They're even running a prize-draw event, so definitely try to join in!!

Banchan

Kimchi, salad, namul (seasoned vegetables), pickled chives — a nice variety came out ^^ It gave off a clean, well-put-together impression.
They also gave us cold water.

How the charcoal-grilled flower galbisal tastes
Now for the main event — they bring out the charcoal for grilling the meat at this local Yangyang favorite.

This is the flower galbisal! The color is so pretty ^^ The meat looked a bit moist, so I figured it'd taste amazing once grilled.

While grilling, it held onto just the right amount of juices, so it tasted great ^^ It was even better wrapped with lettuce. The mushrooms grilled alongside it were also so good haha. Grilling over charcoal gave the meat a nice smoky flavor too.

The meat was incredibly tender and tasty, so it was great on its own, but combining it with kimchi, vegetables, mushrooms, and lettuce in different ways was really delicious too ^^

What do Yeoyejeong's white kimchi noodles taste like?
Next up, the baek-kimchi guksu (white kimchi noodles) arrived ^^ The cool broth was loaded with baek-kimchi. There was also a generous amount of noodles, so it was great as a palate cleanser alongside the meat. The broth had picked up a bit of the baek-kimchi's flavor, giving it a tangy-sweet taste too.

The meat and baek-kimchi noodles I had at Yeoyejeong, this Yangyang meat restaurant, were truly the best combo! Next time I want to try the pork belly or some other meats too. The reviews are so good that I'm already curious ^^

House-made white kimchi and the Café Dunchi receipt discount
Since baek-kimchi is one of the highlight items at Yeoyejeong, this Yangyang meat restaurant, they apparently also sell their own house-made baek-kimchi. So you can order it separately too. Being such a proper local Yangyang favorite, they even have a partnership going lol. If you bring your receipt from Yeoyejeong, you can get a discount at a nearby café! And having dental floss right on the checkout counter was such a nice touch~~~ When you've been eating a lot of meat, that's really something you need ㅠ

There's even a coffee machine so you can grab a coffee on your way out~~~
Yeoyejeong, this Yangyang meat restaurant! The meat was genuinely so delicious and the baek-kimchi noodles were amazing too! The staff were super friendly and the place is spacious enough for a group. A quiet Yangyang meat restaurant that's great to visit with several people — quiet location, but the crowds are anything but!!
