Yangyang BBQ near IC exit for marinated ribs and naengmyeon
In short
Yeoyejeong is a Korean barbecue restaurant on Ssangsolbaegi-gil in Seomyeon, Yangyang, right off the Yangyang IC exit. Even on a weekday evening the wide dining hall was packed while the writer ordered two servings of marinated ribs, baek-kimchi noodles, and yeojeong naengmyeon, with side dishes that included wasabi and a heat-venting plate for resting the grilled meat. It's a solid pick for travelers who care about location, cleanliness, and value together.

I went on a trip and stopped by Yeoyejeong, a place famous as a Yangyang must-eat spot~ Yeoyejeong sells meat, and I heard a lot of people love it. So I wanted to write a review!
Right off Yangyang IC, an easy drive
You can get there right after exiting Yangyang IC. The location is so convenient that I think a lot of travelers like me end up visiting~ If a place is complicated and hard to find, I hesitate about driving there... but the location was so good I just went, haha.

Even though it was a weekday, I was surprised at how many customers were there haha. I guess since it's known as a must-eat spot, lots of people come. As for me, I just... suddenly wanted meat, I guess haha, so I went, and seeing so many customers there made me think I'd made the right call.

Spacious inside, without the usual barbecue-place greasiness
The inside was quite large. I only took photos of the areas without customers in them, but it was spacious enough for big groups, with plenty of tables~ Barbecue places often get greasy and slippery from all the oil, but Yeoyejeong had none of that — it felt clean and well-managed. Cleanliness matters a lot to me when I go to a restaurant, and feeling that care made me trust the place even more!

Menu and order — marinated ribs (2 servings), baek-kimchi noodles, yeojeong naengmyeon
Here's the menu! There were a lot of cuts I love on there... and the prices seemed reasonable too. Especial the pork jowl — I really love pork jowl~ It's usually pretty pricey, but Yeoyejeong sells it at a reasonable price. I debated what to eat, but today I really wanted marinated ribs haha. So I ordered marinated ribs (2 servings), baek-kimchi (white kimchi) noodles, and yeojeong naengmyeon (cold noodles)!

Side dishes that even came with wasabi
They set out the side dishes first. I was surprised at how much variety they gave. Getting wasabi too was really nice — I couldn't eat wasabi before, but I've started eating it recently~ And I've learned that wasabi pairs really well with pork cutlet or grilled meat haha. Seeing them give wasabi, I thought — yep, they really know their meat haha.

Grilling the marinated ribs and breathing in the smoke
The marinated ribs came out right away. As soon as they hit the grill, they just looked delicious... I figured that using such good meat is probably why they get so many customers haha. The smoke extraction above the grill worked really well too, so I could eat without any discomfort at all~

I also tried it wrapped in lettuce~ Meat with garlic and ssamjang together... a familiar taste that's scarily good.

A heat-venting plate for resting the meat
What really felt thoughtful was that they give you a separate plate just for setting the meat aside. If you just put it in a regular bowl, the heat trapped underneath can make it soggy, but with a plate that lets the heat escape, it's so much better. The meat cools down nicely without overcooking or burning haha.

Baek-kimchi noodles and yeojeong naengmyeon
Here's the baek-kimchi (white kimchi) noodles! Tasting it, it seemed to be the same kimchi as the one in the side dishes. This kind of noodle dish isn't sold much elsewhere, so it was interesting~ And they also sell the kimchi separately. Maybe because the kimchi tastes so good, that's why they sell it on its own??

Here's the naengmyeon (cold noodles)... haha, I was enjoying it so much I forgot to take a photo before I started eating, oops. The price was affordable and it tasted great too, so I thought it was really good value.
Who should visit Yeoyejeong in Yangyang
There's a lot to try when you visit Yeoyejeong. You have to eat the meat, and these noodle dishes are really well done too, so make sure to try them! The owner and staff were kind as well, so I had a really delicious and enjoyable meal haha. Lots of people are traveling to Yangyang these days, and with such a good location and good taste, I really hope you visit Yeoyejeong in Yangyang!
