Suwon weekend café: white peach cake restocked at Diaz Cake Boutique

I've been obsessed with peach cake lately, and the fruit cake café in Suwon I loved just brought out a white peach cake for the season.

Straight to Suwon I went.

Where is Diaz Cake Boutique near Suwon City Hall Station?

Diaz Cake Boutique is one of the Diaz cafés known for great cake, located in Paldal-gu near Suwon City Hall Station. It's quite famous in Suwon with many branches around the city — this time I visited the Boutique location.

What the building looks like from the street

It's right in the heart of Nahyeoseok-geori in Suwon, so it's an easy stop if you're already out and about there.

There's no dedicated parking, so if you're driving, I'd recommend the nearby public parking lot. There's also a Diaz café on the 4th floor of the same building with more seating, but the Boutique location seemed to be where most people came to pick up whole cakes.

Slice cakes in the showcase and their prices

Walking in, a colorful showcase full of cakes greets you right away — the visuals are so vivid it looks like it has to taste amazing. Maybe because it was a nice weekend, I got there around 2pm and a lot of cakes had already sold out.

Thankfully they seemed to keep restocking cakes throughout the day. There was also a fig cake piled high with seasonal figs — if it weren't for the peach cake, I probably would've gone for that instead. The fruit slice cakes were a little over ₩10,000 each, but with generous fresh fruit and really good cream and cake, it doesn't feel like wasted money.

There were plenty of whole cakes set aside for reservations too, and the Fruits Mongttang fresh cream cake seemed to be the most popular. It was generously topped with a bit of everything — figs, kiwi, peach, melon, shine muscat grapes, even blueberries — and it looked amazing. The whole cake is ₩49,000, while a single slice is ₩11,900, so if you're going with four or more people, the whole cake is a much better deal.

For a fruit-free option, there was tiramisu — but honestly, the cream here is so good I don't think you'd regret any cake you order.

Since this place is known for cream cakes with a rich milky flavor, they also had a good lineup of teas to pair with them. Being a fresh-fruit cake shop that makes everything in-house, they also sell fruit parfaits — the fruit was so sweet and fresh that if you're not up for cake, the parfait is worth trying.

Second-floor seating and atmosphere

Since I went during the weekend peak hours of 1–2pm, the place was fully booked and I had to wait a bit before getting seated. The 4th floor location has more space, so if there's no seat here, you can always head upstairs.

But the 2nd floor has a quieter, cozier vibe, which seemed especially popular with couples. There was a 6-person table for groups, but the 4-person hallway sofa seats were the most sought-after.

Cake really does taste best with coffee. The nutty milk with strong espresso paired perfectly with the sweet, not-at-all-bitter cake.

If you order it hot, they even make pretty latte art — and every single staff member was so friendly, it just added to the good mood. I sat by a window with lovely sunlight pouring in, and the photos turned out amazing.

A perfect trio of visuals. Honestly, when I first walked in, the peach slice was sold out and I thought I wouldn't get to try it — but while waiting for a seat, I asked if more peach cake might come out, and luckily they said they were making it in the back and pulled one out just for me.

It was packed with sweet white peaches. I'm usually a firm-peach person, but this white peach cake was so, so good too. The cream wasn't too sweet, light with a fresh milky flavor that went perfectly with the well-ripened, sweet peaches.

The cream is generous, so even one slice has real volume. The peaches on top were all fresh and perfectly ripened — I think I said 'this is so good' about a hundred times while eating.

Is Diaz Cake Boutique worth a visit?

I want to work my way through every single Diaz cake flavor. And once winter comes, I'll definitely be back for the strawberry cake.
