Myeongdong burger lunch shared two ways with coleslaw: Daily Fix

I was craving a homemade burger in Euljiro today, so I stopped by Daily Fix Euljiro~! Daily Fix is also known for the bacon cheeseburger recommended by Kang Min-kyung, so I'd wanted to try it for a while. It started out in Gangnam and Seocho, and now you can find it in Euljiro too~!

Today's order was the full lineup: bacon cheeseburger + pastrami sandwich + 18 Fries + coleslaw. Went all in haha.

To cut to the chase — the burger was great, but the pastrami sandwich was surprisingly satisfying too! Next time I want to come back in the evening and have it with a beer~!

The bacon cheeseburger Kang Min-kyung made famous

When you look up Daily Fix, the first thing that catches your eye is the bacon cheeseburger. Known as the burger Kang Min-kyung recommended, it made me even more curious. I ordered it without hesitation that day haha.

Daily Fix's burgers reportedly use 100% Hanwoo beef patties made fresh every day. Eating it for real, the patty wasn't dry at all — it was quite juicy. With the first bite you really get the meat's juices and flavor coming through.

With homemade burgers I think the ingredients matter, but ultimately it's the patty that anchors everything, and I liked that Daily Fix's patty itself was genuinely tasty.

Juicy Hanwoo patty and bacon at Daily Fix Euljiro

The bacon cheeseburger is, as the name says, all about the patty + bacon + cheese combination. Just looking at the ingredients it seems like it could be heavy and salty, but eating it, each flavor came together well.

In particular you could really taste the flavor of the juicy Hanwoo patty, and I found myself thinking,

haha. Adding the bacon and cheese definitely brought the flavor up another level. Tasting it, I could see why the bacon cheeseburger is Daily Fix's most popular order~!

Is the pastrami sandwich worth ordering?

And then there was the pastrami sandwich we ordered alongside it! Honestly I went in assuming the bacon cheeseburger would be the main event, but the pastrami sandwich was really satisfying too.

Daily Fix's pastrami is said to use a recipe developed by the chefs and meat that's been cured for a long time. What I personally liked was that the meat's flavor was rich without being overly salty!

Cured meats like pastrami or bacon can get overwhelming fast if the saltiness is too strong — the first few bites are great, but it wears on you quickly. Daily Fix didn't push saltiness as the main flavor, so you could really taste the meat itself, which I appreciated.

Sharing one burger and one sandwich between two people

The pastrami sandwich had a different charm from the bacon cheeseburger. If the burger is about enjoying the rich combo of juicy patty, cheese and bacon, the pastrami sandwich lets you focus more on the flavor of the meat itself!

So if you're visiting with two people, I'd personally recommend ordering one of each and splitting them. If you only had one, you'd miss out on trying the other — that would've been a shame haha. I was glad I ordered both this time.

Sides at Daily Fix Euljiro: 18 Fries and coleslaw

It would feel a little lacking to just have the burger and sandwich, right haha. So we also ordered 18 Fries and coleslaw as sides. Fries are pretty much essential with a homemade burger!! Eating the 18 Fries in between bites paired really well.

And personally, what I liked most about the side combo was the coleslaw! It's tossed in a special mayonnaise sauce, so it worked great alongside the burger and sandwich. After bite after bite of meat, one forkful of coleslaw changed up the texture and refreshed my palate — it worked really well as a side~!

What the room feels like near Euljiro-ipgu

Euljiro is a neighborhood where old-school diners mix with brand-new cafés and restaurants, so there's always something new to discover there. Daily Fix was another one of those places — a good spot to enjoy a different kind of meal in Euljiro.

It's a solid lunch of burgers and sandwiches during the day, and looking at the store's atmosphere, it feels like the vibe would shift in the evening. Especially eating the burger and pastrami, one thing naturally came to mind. Beer!! haha

Coming back in the evening for burgers and beer

Both the bacon cheeseburger and the pastrami sandwich... this is a combo that's hard to make bad when paired with beer haha. Especially with the pastrami's savoriness and saltiness, plus the fries, a cold beer naturally came to mind.

The store's atmosphere also looks like a good fit for a casual beer in the evening, so I want to come back at night next time. A solid Euljiro burger spot by day, and a place to enjoy burgers with beer by night — I think it's worth trying both ways~!

Where to eat burgers near Myeongdong and Euljiro

I went to Daily Fix Euljiro this time curious about the famous bacon cheeseburger, but ended up just as satisfied with the pastrami sandwich. The bacon cheeseburger with its 100% Hanwoo patty had a juicy texture and great meat flavor, and the pastrami was also not overly salty, letting the meat flavor really shine — I liked it a lot.

Add the 18 Fries and coleslaw on top and it's a proper meal!! If you're craving something a little different from your usual Euljiro food, or if you love homemade burgers and pastrami sandwiches, give it a try~! It should especially suit anyone who loves burgers with strong, real meat flavor.

Next time I visit, I'm going in the evening... bacon cheeseburger with a cold beer!! Definitely have to make that happen haha.
