Euljiro burger restaurant portions for two: Daily Fix Euljiro

When picking lunch in Euljiro, Korean food or gukbap (soup with rice) often comes to mind first — but sometimes you just want a thick, juicy burger with a proper side of fries.

This was one of those days. I'd been curious about a burger place I'd seen while searching for Euljiro restaurant recommendations, so I finally visited Daily Fix Euljiro.

Where is Daily Fix Euljiro, and what are the hours?

Daily Fix Euljiro is at 24 Namdaemun-ro 9-gil, Jung-gu, Seoul, 1st floor units 103–104, Fastfive Euljiro. Hours are Monday–Friday 11:00–23:00 and Saturday–Sunday 11:00–22:00, with last order at 22:00 on weekdays and 21:00 on weekends. Building parking is available, but it's paid.

It's about a 2–3 minute walk from Euljiro 1(il)-ga Station, and also walkable from Myeongdong. If you're wandering Myeongdong looking for something other than Korean food or gukbap, this is a handy stop.

Walking in, the atmosphere felt a bit different from a typical fast food chain. Eating a burger solo can sometimes feel awkward when you're not sure where to sit, but this place didn't feel that way at all.

It has that casual, laid-back burger-joint feel — a comfortable spot to eat without fuss.

I got there around 11am and walked straight in with no wait. Since it's near Euljiro 1-ga Station, I figured weekday lunch hour would bring a lot of office workers, so I went a bit early — which meant I could take my time browsing the menu.

The burger Kang Min-kyung recommended at Daily Fix Euljiro

Searching for Daily Fix, you'll often see mentions of the "Kang Min-kyung burger." On the menu board at this Euljiro branch, the Bacon Cheese Burger was indeed marked as her recommendation.

It's made with house-made bacon, a beef patty, and cheese, so I considered ordering it first. But once I looked over the menu, the Hawaiian Bacon BBQ Burger with pineapple and the Patty Melt (served on toast instead of a bun) caught my curiosity more — so I decided to save the Kang Min-kyung pick for next time.

What we ordered: two burger sets and a side

Hawaiian Bacon BBQ Burger: pineapple and bacon together

First up, the Hawaiian Bacon BBQ Burger — a beef patty topped with house-made bacon, pineapple, and BBQ sauce.

The pineapple is really what defines this burger. Combined with the bacon and BBQ sauce, you get both sweetness and saltiness in every bite. If you like pineapple on your burger, or want something different from your usual cheeseburger, this is worth recommending.

Patty Melt: rye toast instead of a burger bun

The other order was the Patty Melt. While the Hawaiian burger is a classic round-bun burger, the Patty Melt is different — it's more of a sandwich, with a Hanwoo (Korean beef) patty and two slices of cheese between slices of rye toast.

On the outside it looks like toast, but inside is a burger patty and cheese — it sits somewhere between a sandwich and a burger.

If the Hawaiian burger is defined by pineapple and BBQ sauce, the Patty Melt is all about the patty and cheese themselves. Even though both came as burger sets, the two dishes had distinctly different styles.

Fries with the ₩1,100 signature dipping sauce

A burger without fries always feels like something's missing. This time, we ordered both menus as sets and paid an extra ₩1,100 for the signature dipping sauce to go with the fries.

I added the sauce thinking I'd dip the fries instead of eating them plain, but once the food arrived, the portions turned out bigger than expected. Two burgers, two orders of fries, plus vegetable sticks — by the end, there were fries left over. Since soda refills are free, if I come back with someone else next time, I'd probably just order one set plus one single burger.

Vegetable sticks: when you want some greens with a burger

There's one thing I always check on a burger menu: coleslaw or a vegetable side. Eating just burger and fries always leaves me wanting some vegetables too, so if it's on the menu, I tend to add coleslaw or veggie sticks.

The vegetable sticks here are celery and carrot. Eating them somehow makes me feel a little less guilty.

Is Daily Fix Euljiro worth it? Final verdict

Daily Fix Euljiro is only 2–3 minutes on foot from Euljiro 1-ga Station, making it easy to get to during lunch hour. I still haven't tried the Bacon Cheese Burger marked as the Kang Min-kyung recommendation, so that's on the list for next time. If you're looking for a hamburger lunch spot among Myeongdong restaurants, I'd recommend Daily Fix Euljiro.
