I had some errands near Kkachisan Station and ended up having a delicious zaru soba pork cutlet set for lunch at Hekbap Kkachisan Branch.

The place was bigger than I expected — spacious and comfortable. There are various 4-person tables, and with wide tabletops, it seems like a good spot for groups too.
They have baby chairs set up like this, so it also looks like a good place for a family meal with kids.
And Hekbap Kkachisan Branch is also a great spot for solo dining — the window seat tables in particular were perfect for eating alone. The windows were clean too, so I could enjoy the view outside while eating.

What comes with the 15,000-won zaru soba pork cutlet set, and how it tastes
I ordered the zaru soba pork cutlet set. I was craving exactly zaru soba with a Western-style pork cutlet, and this set here was exactly right.
It came out beautifully arranged, filling the whole tray. These days, a soba-and-cutlet combo set usually runs ₩17,000 to ₩20,000-something elsewhere, so at ₩15,000 here it felt very reasonable.
The side dishes were pickled radish, kkakdugi (diced radish kimchi), and a cabbage salad with honey-drizzled cheese rice cake.
The pork cutlet came out crispy and fried, generously topped with a smooth cutlet sauce.
The soba noodles were chewy and rinsed cold, and the soba broth came out with a layer of icy slush floating on top.
I dipped the zaru soba into the broth to eat — it was refreshing and delicious. The broth was topped generously with finely chopped scallions, and the scallion aroma paired nicely with the broth base. The texture along with the noodles was great too. There was also grated radish and a seaweed topping on the soba, which looked nice and tasted good — it definitely gave the flavor more depth.
In between, I made sure to eat the cheese rice cake before it got cold, along with the tasty cabbage salad and the pork cutlet. Plenty of cutlet sauce too. That flavor makes you crave rice on the side...!
How thick is the pork cutlet, and how well is it fried?
I love pork cutlet and probably eat it 3-4 times a month, and honestly, Hekbap near Kkachisan Station fries it as well as any dedicated cutlet restaurant. The oil is drained completely, so it's crispy without any greasiness.
The cutlet was surprisingly large, with a thick cut of meat. It had just the right thickness to give you a satisfying bite.
Ordering the set kept me full all the way until dinner. The portion of the cutlet matched the zaru soba portion perfectly too. If you love rice, I'd recommend adding a bowl!
