Today I went to my third wedding-invite meetup! There's a friend I got close with in college, we lived in the same dorm haha. I really wanted to hand her the invitation in person, so I made time to meet her 🥰
I'm in Incheon and she's in Seoul, so I was trying to figure out where to meet..! And I found a great spot 🫢 We decided to meet in Yeonnam-dong, which has tons of good restaurants and cafés, and while looking around I found one place that was just so pretty haha. Great vibe, great food — let me introduce Hôtel de Couture, a pasta restaurant in Yeonnam-dong 🩷

It's on the 2nd floor of the building you see! Isn't the exterior so pretty?! Totally my taste .. 🩷

Turns out the restaurant 'Heyjozi' nearby is Hôtel de Couture's second location! Heyjozi is a spot I love and I've been there several times, but I had no idea .. 🤩
Is the interior big enough for a group?
The inside was bigger than I expected. Pretty restaurants often have cramped interiors, but Hôtel de Couture's spacious layout was such a plus!
The seats you see right when you walk in aren't all there is — there's more seating further inside! It looked plenty big enough for a group haha.

Carrot duck aglio olio, 18,000 won
The carrot duck aglio olio came out first! Duck and carrot..? In aglio olio, honestly I couldn't picture the flavor at first. But the moment I took a bite, wow, this is it. The thick duck meat with the sweet carrot together — genuinely delicious.
House steak, 35,000 won
Next came the steak! Honestly this dish was part of why I picked Hôtel de Couture haha. It looked just as amazing as I hoped .. ❤️ The meat was really tender and easy to eat :) Pairing it with the fried onions and fries in between bites doubled the flavor of the steak!
Looking at these photos makes me want to eat it again .. 🤤 The pasta and steak combo went so well together!!! I was so hungry I devoured it the second we finished taking pictures .. 🤣
The verdict on Hôtel de Couture
I'd wanted to visit Hôtel de Couture, a pasta restaurant in Yeonnam-dong, for a while, so I went in with high expectations haha. But it was even better than I expected, both the food and the atmosphere, and I was so satisfied ☺️ Since this was a wedding-invite meetup, I picked the place carefully hoping my friend would like it .. and I'm so glad she did! I loved it too haha. Thanks to this place, we had a fun, happy wedding-invite meetup!
