What kind of café is Butter & Shelter Gangnam-Sinsa?
My sister-in-law and I went looking for a hip, delicious café and ended up at this Garosu-gil favorite, Butter & Shelter Gangnam-Sinsa.
Butter & Shelter is, true to its name, a place full of butter-based desserts — if you're someone who loves baked treats or sweet desserts in general, this is a Garosu-gil café I'd recommend without hesitation. ☕️
It's located on Garosu-gil close to Sinsa Station, so it's easy to get to and makes a great meeting spot. There are also plenty of good restaurants nearby, so it's perfect for a dessert stop after a meal! 👍

It's made on a latte base, so it's soft and nutty — drinking the dense, smooth buttercream together with the coffee, the sweetness of the buttercream and the rich, nutty flavor of the latte paired together really well. So good! 😆💕
What the Shelter Einspänner tastes like
☕️ The Shelter Einspänner is made on an Americano base, so compared to the latte-based Butter Einspänner, you get more of the coffee's clean, bitter edge.
The soft, nutty buttercream gently softens the coffee's bitterness, and the balance was really good! It also paired well with the sweeter desserts. 😆💕

🍫 The Choco Butter Sand is a soft butter sand made with dark chocolate-coated cookies and cream, with Valrhona powder and chocolate chunks mixed in. The nuttiness of the butter and a sweetness that's never too much made this one really enjoyable. 💕
