Kid-friendly steak and carbonara dinner in Gimpo Unyang-dong: Polia
In short
Restaurant Polia is an Italian restaurant in Gimpo Unyang-dong, Gyeonggi that serves steak, pasta and pizza in one place. On a weekend evening with a child, the writer shared a thick steak, rich carbonara and gorgonzola pizza, and her son ate three slices of the pizza on his own. With plenty of parking right in front of the building, Polia is an easy choice for a family eating out by car.

We went to Polia, a Gimpo steak restaurant, for a delicious family dinner on the weekend. 😊

Being able to enjoy steak, pasta, and pizza all in one place made this a solid family dinner spot with a kid. On top of that, parking was easy and the portions were generous, so overall it was a satisfying meal.
What kind of restaurant is Polia in Gimpo Unyang-dong?

Polia is an Italian restaurant where you can eat comfortably with family. Besides steak, the menu is varied — pasta, pizza, risotto, salad — so it was good for a group where everyone could order what they liked.
It suited us well visiting with a kid, but the atmosphere would also work nicely for a date or a family meal out.
Is parking easy at Polia Gimpo?
Polia Gimpo has plenty of parking space right in front of the store. Parking is one of the things I care about most when eating out with a kid — even a great restaurant can wear you out before you even arrive if parking is a hassle.

When we got there, several cars were already parked but the space was still pretty spacious. Once you reach the building, the big FOLIA sign on the 2nd floor makes it easy to spot. We visited in the evening, and the lit-up exterior of the building was pretty. ✨
For anyone looking for a family dinner spot in Gimpo, easy parking alone is a pretty big plus.
Inside Polia: the dining room and the mood

Polia's dining room had a comfortable atmosphere for eating with family.

It wasn't overly formal or stiff, yet the ambiance was still nice enough to suit a special occasion dinner out.

It works well for coming with a kid to eat steak and pizza, but it'd also be fine for two people wanting a nicer-feeling meal.

Ordering at Polia from the table tablet

You could check Polia's menu easily via the tablet at the table. The lineup is really varied — steak, pizza, pasta, risotto, all of it.
Steaks come as tenderloin, striploin, lamb rack, and more, and there's oil, cream, and tomato pasta too, so there's fun in choosing. Pizza also had a lot of variety — steak pizza, potato, pepperoni, arugula, margherita, gorgonzola.
It's a good setup for a family visit — order one steak, one pasta, one pizza, and share. 👍
The thick steak that makes Polia a Gimpo steak spot

The moment the steak arrived, the first thought was
That's a bigger portion than I expected?
Haha. Even from the photo you can tell how thick it is, right?

Cutting into it, the inside was cooked to an appetizing pink, and one bite gave a tender texture with good juiciness. Above all, the steak portion was quite generous, so we ended up really full.
A lot of steak places charge a lot for a small portion, but Polia felt like good value considering the portion and the price. It was good with the sauce, and eating it with the salt or wholegrain mustard on the side gave a different flavor too.
If you want steak in Gimpo at a price that doesn't feel like a burden, I think this is a decent choice.
Polia's rich, creamy carbonara

For pasta, we had carbonara. I prefer cream pasta where the sauce properly clings to the noodles, thick and rich, rather than being too watery.

Polia's carbonara was exactly that style. ❤️ It had a savory, rich cream flavor and the sauce blended well with the noodles — really tasty.

Taking a bite of steak, then a bite of the thick carbonara, the combination worked really well. If you're looking for a Gimpo pasta spot and like cream pasta, I'd recommend the carbonara too.
The gorgonzola pizza my son ate three slices of

And the surprise hit of the day was the gorgonzola pizza. Lol. My son had one slice, seemed to like it, and kept going for a second, then a third slice. 😂
Kids just don't eat something if it's not good, right? Seeing him eat three slices, it must have really suited his taste.

Watching him eat the pizza so well made it even more satisfying as a parent dining with a kid. The adults ate the steak and pasta while sharing the pizza with our son — a good menu combination.
Is Polia Gimpo good for a family dinner with kids?

Having visited and eaten there myself, Polia's biggest strength seems to be the variety of menu items that suit the whole family. The steak portion was quite big so we got nice and full, and the price was better than expected.
The thick, rich carbonara was tasty too, and it was even better that my son ate so well he had three slices of the gorgonzola pizza. 😊 And for a family getting around by car, easy parking is definitely worth mentioning too.
- Parking is easy ✔️
- Steak portion is generous ✔️
- Price is reasonable too ✔️
- Pasta is delicious ✔️

Overall, it was a satisfying spot for a family dinner. If you want to enjoy steak, pasta, and pizza all in one place in Gimpo, Polia Gimpo is worth a visit. Our family left nice and full. ❤️
