I finally got my hair dyed after putting it off forever. My roots had grown out a lot and the gray hairs were sneaking back up ㅜㅜ I went to designer Yura at ONLY FOR YOU Hannam Main Branch in Hannam, Seoul, and she explained everything well and dyed my hair so carefully that I was really satisfied, so I wanted to write about it. Let's get into the review~!

Finding the building from Hannam Station
This Hannam hair salon, ONLY FOR YOU Hannam Main Branch, is on the 3rd floor of the building, so it can be a little hard to spot! ㅜㅜ
As soon as you go up to the 3rd floor, it's right on the left, and outside there were some photo props on display. I figured they must be really into photos and went in haha. When I checked their Instagram, they seemed to post a lot of reels too~!
What is the inside of ONLY FOR YOU Hannam Main Branch like?
Besides dye, cuts, and perms, this Hannam hair salon also does scalp tattoos, which made it feel like a pretty specialized place. Scalp tattoos are pretty hot these days too haha.
The interior overall felt clean, and I liked the open, airy feel from the full-length windows. Since a salon visit usually takes a while, longer than just a haircut, I really appreciate a salon with an open feel like this haha.
Products were lined up like this, and even I, who knows nothing about hair care, recognized the Milbon products. I guess they sell them too, that's probably why they're displayed like this,,? haha
Can you get mint brown hair if you have gray hairs?
Time to pick a dye color >< Before I went, I wanted a mint brown color, but she told me that because of my gray hairs and the need to even out the overall tone, the mint brown look I wanted wouldn't really come through ㅜㅜ It was so sad, but,,, I decided to give up on the exact color for the sake of a good result and asked her to go with a similar tone instead. Since I also have gray hairs, we went with a dye that covers those too~!
On top of covering gray hair, she said it's a vegan product, so it's one of the gentler dyes, with less damage to the scalp and hair, which made me trust it more! And since I've noticed a lot of pregnant women dyeing their hair these days once they're past the stable trimester, I asked just in case, and she said pregnant women can also use the vegan product to dye their hair! Since it's a chemical product after all, going with something a bit safer makes sense~!

Applying the vegan dye, step by step
Since I kept fixating on mint brown, she actually mixed up the dye in mint brown and brought it over to show me. So touched 🥹 I kind of wanted to pretend to eat it like that mint brown dye meme going around these days but ㅋㅋㅋㅋ way too embarrassing so I'll skip that one^^^
She applied the dye carefully, all the way into every section.
I basically look like a swamp creature at this point. This is my least favorite part after dyeing ㅋㅋㅋ so unflattering 🙈
The finished look after the dye and blow-dry! Can a single dye job really change things this much. And since the dye's ingredients were good, my hair actually felt softer and shinier even after dyeing, which made me realize how much the quality of the dye itself really matters.

After dyeing, the overall tone became even and calm, which made me so satisfied! Since it's a matte, dark brown tone, she said it might look a bit darker right after dyeing, but honestly I felt more like an autumn girl and loved it~~ 😚
