A new food-and-drink space has opened on B1 of Nine One Hannam Gourmet 494, Hannam-dong’s hot spot where premium desserts and great restaurants come together. It is the new handmade burger brand, Daily Fix (DAILY FIX), which officially opened on September 7! The first thing that caught my eye upon entering was the vivid, stylish poster reading, “Make Life Tastier!” True to its slogan and its identity as a young, casual, hip handmade burger restaurant, it was designed as a trendy yet comfortable place to enjoy good food.

Thanks to Gourmet 494’s characteristically pleasant, clean atmosphere, it was a great place to enjoy a relaxed meal alone, or to have a burger date with a partner or friends. You could feel the care taken in selecting ingredients and preparing each dish in the details throughout the space.

The menu items I tried were Daily Fix’s signature truffle mushroom burger, already receiving lots of love from visitors, and its bacon cheeseburger.

Switching the bread to a pretzel bun gave it a much chewier texture than the standard bun, and it doubled the patty’s savory appeal. The combination of rich patty juices that burst out as soon as I bit in, crisp bacon, and cheese was simply perfect.

It was so delicious from the first bite that I bought one more bacon cheeseburger to go for my husband waiting at home.

Looking over the menu, I saw that Daily Fix sells not only regular soft drinks but also 100% fresh-pressed orange juice, squeezed directly by machine to order in the store.

There was a juicing machine on one side of the store, which made it feel even more trustworthy visually! This time, I had Coke so I could fully appreciate the burgers’ own flavor, but on my next visit I definitely plan to pair that fresh, refreshing orange juice with a rich, savory burger. I think the salty-and-sweet-tangy combination would be wonderful.
