While on a diet, the writer tried Olla Poke's most popular avocado poke two ways, one with extra soba noodles and one with extra rice, and also had the free coffee from the self-serve bar. The soba version won on chewy texture and the rice version kept the writer full into the afternoon, making both a satisfying diet lunch.

On a day of heavy rain, four friends stopped in before heading out and shared two sets, one with stir-fry, stone-pot rice and shrimp tempura and one with stir-fry and perilla knife-cut noodle soup, and the portions were generous enough to leave food over after all four mixed it with rice. Splitting two of each set over smoky baby octopus stir-fry made for a satisfying meal at Bulnaneun Jjukkumi.
