A long-overdue Dongseong-ro date with my boyfriend to kick off the weekend💗 We found such a lovely restaurant in Dongseong-ro!!😊 It has great value and a great atmosphere too, so I’d love to recommend Dana Dongseong-ro Main Branch for dates or blind dates➰

Dana Dongseong-ro Main Branch is a 5–10 minute walk from either Jungangno Station or Banwoldang Station! It’s a restaurant with really easy public-transit access too😊 Its location right in downtown Daegu is so good💗 (It’s near Tongsin Alley.)

Dana Dongseong-ro Main Branch is on the second floor. If you see the tonkatsu specialty restaurant on the first floor, just head up to the second floor➰

It’s a pretty famous Italian-style restaurant in Dongseong-ro😊 You can feel how neat it is from the outside. It has the feel of a casual Italian-style restaurant, making it an easy, comfortable date spot💗

Split-level space and reservations

The interior of Dana Dongseong-ro Main Branch is arranged over two levels➰

First floor

There’s a reservation kiosk as soon as you enter the first floor.! I made a Naver reservation before visiting🙌🏻 It gets busy on weekends and weekday evenings, so I recommend booking ahead!💗

There are seats on each floor. Overall, the interior had a warm atmosphere💛 Such a nice feel for a date or blind date!!🙌🏻 The tables are spaced widely apart, so chatting was comfortable too.

Second floor

Head upstairs and another space appears✨ The second floor was also warm and cozy, much like the first💛 It had a few more tables than downstairs. But the tables are nicely spread out, so it wasn’t uncomfortable at all!➰ Since you don’t have to worry about the next table, it seems perfect for friends, dates—anything! (There were lots of people on blind dates around us.) I had booked ahead and was shown to a second-floor table😊

Menu and ordering

The menu had all the Italian-style restaurant staples: pasta, steak, risotto, pizza, and more. There was also a good variety of drinks, beer, and wine➰ They have set menus too, so keep that in mind! ✔️ Soft drinks can be refilled. ✔️ Orders are placed and paid for in advance at the first-floor counter.

• Half-and-half pizza (cream cheese tomato & Margherita)

Once seated, there were plates, cutlery, and glasses waiting for us—such a proper restaurant feeling!😊 Pickles come as standard, and when we ordered pizza, they brought hot sauce, garlic sauce, and our drinks too➰

Flat iron steak: doneness and taste

Dana Dongseong-ro Main Branch’s flat iron steak🥩 They say it is first vacuum sous-vide cooked, then seared in natural butter💗 How could we possibly resist after reading that?!!👀 My boyfriend and I ordered it immediately!😊

With the steak, you can choose one side dish, so we picked salad!! (There were so many other delicious things, so we felt we should be sensible.. haha.) The other side option is French fries. Just look at this flat iron steak!!🙌🏻 Isn’t it a total pass just based on looks..♥️ The sauce and garnish plating were so perfect✨ ✨Just note that steak doneness cannot be adjusted✨ Apparently that’s because it is first cooked sous-vide!

The steak arrives around medium😊 It was just right for me, haha. That textbook moist-on-the-inside steak feeling?➰ (My boyfriend prefers medium-rare, so he said it was a little disappointing for him?)

The steak comes cut into easy-to-eat pieces!➰ I first tried it with salt, then enjoyed it in different ways with wasabi and whole-grain mustard🙌🏻 It was super delicious, full of meat juices💗 And the savory richness of the beef was sooo good..💕

TMI. I don’t know why he takes such good care of me whenever we’re out.. My boyfriend was cutting it up for me, telling me to eat the better pieces..♥️

The cheesy flavor of baked risotto

The baked risotto, which wins you over with its looks. It’s Dana’s overall bestseller, and we ordered it because it looked so unusual😊 (You wouldn’t know it was risotto unless someone told you, right?) They bake the risotto in the oven!!➰ Since it comes out baked, it has a different charm from ordinary risotto💗 Risotto hidden inside a tortilla😊 My boyfriend cut it up so neatly, haha.

The outside is oven-baked and packed with a savory flavor, while the risotto inside stays moist and soft💕

It has loads of cheese, so the two of us cheese lovers happily devoured it..!💗 Oh, and the risotto was a little spicy, so we could eat it to the end without it becoming too rich😊 A soft risotto with cheesy flavor and a little kick♥️

Half-and-half pizza with no extra charge

Every pizza at Dana Dongseong-ro Main Branch is the same price: ₩19,000😊

You can order half-and-half without an extra charge, so since we wanted to try two flavors, we ordered a half-and-half pizza😊 We picked cream cheese tomato and Margherita🍕🍕 ✔️Gorgonzola cannot be ordered half-and-half✔️

Among pizzas, I love wood-fired pizza! Dana’s pizza uses wood-fired pizza dough too💕 The chewiness of the dough is on another level🙌🏻 And they make their own simmered tomato sauce!! (Isn’t that reason enough to order it?) Can you see the pizza piled with 100% natural mozzarella!!⭐️ The cheese stretches all the way to the end..!!💕 It’s the sort of pizza everyone would enjoy, no matter their tastes..➰

This is the cream cheese tomato pizza🍕 If you like cheese, I totally recommend this one!! I’m a cheese person, and I enjoyed the cream cheese tomato pizza so much💕 Even the dough was delicious, so it was absolutely perfect..💯

The pizza basic, right? Margherita. It was even tastier thanks to the generous amount of house-simmered tomato sauce🍕 Dip it in the garlic sauce served alongside, and the pairing is just perfect💗
