Sejong restaurant with brioche and pulpo a la gallega: Le Garden Bleu

Today I want to introduce a pasta restaurant in Eojin-dong, Sejong :) When eating out with kids, you're always looking for something the children will eat happily and the adults will enjoy too. This time I was craving pasta, so here's where I went!

To cut to the conclusion first — the kids ate really well and I was satisfied too, so I wanted to share this with anyone looking for a good Western restaurant in Sejong. The atmosphere is also nice, so it would suit not just family meals with kids but also anyone looking for a date spot for a restaurant in Eojin-dong.

Where is Le Garden Bleu? Right in front of the Eojin-dong fountain

Le Garden Bleu is on the 1st floor of KT&G Sejong Tower A (the Nike building), 411 Hannuri-daero, Sejong, South Korea. It's right in front of the fountain, so it's easy to find.

What we ordered at Le Garden Bleu

This time at Le Garden Bleu we ordered these four dishes.

• Salmon steak garden
• Natural fermented brioche
• Classic vongole pasta
• Classic pomodoro pasta

Being a Western restaurant, there are lots of wine glasses too haha. If we'd come without the kids we would've had wine — a little disappointing... T_T

Can you bring kids? Le Garden Bleu brings out baby dishware

Since we came with a child, Le Garden Bleu prepared baby dishware for us! Baby-friendly restaurants are really popular in Sejong!!!

Naturally leavened brioche: the bread that won us over

Le Garden Bleu's natural fermented brioche was the most memorable dish of this meal. Can brioche really be this soft? It was so much more delicious than expected that it stuck with me.

It was genuinely so soft. Even when you tear it gently with your hand, the texture pulls apart softly, and once it's in your mouth it's fluffy and melts away ♡ We came for pasta but ended up totally won over by the bread haha. It was great on its own and also paired amazingly well when dipped lightly into the pasta sauce.

Spanish pulpo a la gallega: an octopus dish between the pastas

Among the dishes we ordered this time, the one that felt a little special was the Spanish pulpo a la gallega. It's the perfect dish for when ordering just pasta feels a bit lacking and you want to add something a little different.

The octopus kept its distinctive texture while blending well with the accompanying ingredients, so it was nice to eat in between bites of pasta. Adding a Spanish-style dish among the familiar pasta options made the table feel richer!

It also seems like it would go well with wine or drinks on a date, so if you're looking for a date spot restaurant in Eojin-dong, this dish is worth keeping an eye on too.

Salmon steak garden: nutty salmon with vegetables

The dish I personally enjoyed the most was the salmon steak garden! The salmon was really savory and tender, and eating it with the fresh vegetables kept it from feeling heavy at all — so delicious.

A bite of salmon, a bite of vegetables — it felt like eating something delicious while also being healthy haha. Pasta alone can feel a bit heavy, but alternating with the salmon and vegetables made the combination really good. It looks pretty too, so I'd also recommend it as a date-spot dish in Eojin-dong.

Classic pomodoro pasta, the dish the kids kept eating

Le Garden Bleu's classic pomodoro pasta was the dish the kids ate the best. When you go out for pasta with kids, the biggest worry is honestly always 'will they actually eat it?' haha. But with the pomodoro, there was no need to worry.

Maybe because the tomato sauce isn't harsh but still has depth of flavor, the kids ate it so, so well. One bite, then another, then another haha. If you're looking for a pasta restaurant in Eojin-dong, Sejong to take kids to, the pomodoro pasta is worth ordering for sure. It's clean enough for adult tastes too, so there was no need to order separate kids' and adults' menus — everyone could just eat together.

Classic vongole: proof the basics taste best

We also ordered the classic vongole pasta. It's clean-tasting with the savory umami of clams coming through, making it perfect to alternate with the tomato pasta.

While the kids focused on the pomodoro, the adults got to enjoy the vongole and the salmon steak garden together, and the combination of dishes was pretty great. Overall, the menu felt less about strong seasoning and more about bringing out the natural flavor of the ingredients, which I liked even more.

An Eojin-dong pasta restaurant for family meals and dates alike

When you go out with kids, how well they eat pretty much decides how satisfying the meal is haha. This time the kids ate the pomodoro pasta so well that mom got to eat somewhat comfortably (?), and I got to properly enjoy the soft brioche and the savory salmon steak garden — an overall satisfying meal.

If you like pasta and are looking for a Western restaurant in Sejong or a pasta restaurant in Eojin-dong, I think Le Garden Bleu is worth a visit. It suits days when you want pasta in a nice atmosphere, days you're looking for a place for a family meal with kids, or days you're searching for a date spot in Eojin-dong :) Next time I'd like to try some other dishes too ♥
