Salad-base duck and avocado poke near COEX: Ola Poke Samseong
In short
Ola Poke Samseong Branch is a poke and salad restaurant between COEX and the Daechi-dong office district in Gangnam, Seoul. Swapping the usual buckwheat noodle or oat-brown rice base for salad, this visit covered smoked duck poke and avocado poke, with lentils and corn making the bowls plenty filling. It's a spot worth ordering from carefully if you're watching your carbs but still want a healthy meal.

The entrance to Ola Poke Samseong Branch looks clean and tidy, with detailed ordering instructions and how-to-use guides for first-time customers.

Self-bar and seating — great for solo diners and groups alike
At the Ola Poke self-bar there's lemon water and a variety of sauces, so feel free to use them if you need. With tables of different sizes, this Ola Poke Samseong location works well whether you're dining solo or in a group~

Whoa! Looks like they have a new buldak (fire chicken) poke on the menu now. I'm a spice wimp, but I should give the buldak poke a try next time haha

Menu and base choice — salad instead of rice or noodles

So many menu options at Ola Poke! Among them, the poke bowls I order most often are avocado, smoked duck, and chicken breast.

Ola Poke Samseong Branch has a wide range of menu options, which I love for the variety it offers. What's especially great is that you can choose your base and adjust the ratio. Whenever I order poke, I always choose salad instead of buckwheat noodles or oat-brown rice. Even without noodles or rice, poke bowls have lentils, corn, and other ingredients with plenty of good texture that work just as well as a rice substitute.
Smoked duck poke, ₩11,500
Smoked duck poke — ₩11,500 — a generous 100g of rich, savory smoked duck piled onto this poke bowl

Duck meat is packed with unsaturated fats, which help regulate cholesterol levels in the body, and it's also fantastic for restoring energy and keeping your skin healthy, right??
The chewy texture of the nicely browned smoked duck paired with fresh vegetables makes this smoked duck poke something everyone, young and old, can enjoy! The balance of healthy fat and protein that's unique to Ola Poke made me feel like I was having a genuinely good, restorative meal for my body~

Avocado poke, ₩10,500
Avocado poke, ₩10,500 — avocado, the butter of the forest, in poke form. Smooth flavor and healthy energy in one bowl
With a whole half of the freshest jumbo-size avocado piled generously on top, I could really taste that creamy texture and nutty flavor unique to avocado. Avocado is high in dietary fiber and healthy unsaturated fats, earning its reputation as a superfood.

This is the best choice for anyone wanting a mild, non-greasy meal, and the fresh balance with all the vegetables is outstanding. With Ola Poke's carefully chosen high-quality avocado, I got to experience a soft, delicious meal that left me feeling healthy from the first bite to the last~

Skip lunchtime — a visiting tip
Ola Poke Samseong Branch, with its great value, is surrounded by offices, so it was packed with office workers during lunch hour. I'd recommend visiting a bit outside of lunchtime since it can get crowded. It's also great for solo dining, and I appreciated that they didn't skimp on ingredients, plus the thoughtful touch of having mouthwash available after your meal.
Not just office workers, but anyone managing their diet or trying to eat healthy while cutting carbs can pick their menu and sauces to fit their own eating plan, which made it even better. This was my review of Ola Poke Samseong Branch, a salad spot I'd definitely go back to!
