Why go to Beorn Hair Cheongdam for an inner clinic?

My hair has been so frizzy lately that I decided to finally get a proper clinic treatment after a long while. I went to Beorn Hair Cheongdam, well known in Cheongdam for its clinics.

Beorn Hair Cheongdam is on the 2nd floor of 710 Seolleung-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, near Exit 3 of Gangnam-gu Office Station. It's open Mon–Sun 09:30–20:00 and closed every Tuesday. Please check the shop's Naver link for exact treatment prices!!

They also have memberships, and it really seemed like they have a lot of regulars.. Even while I was getting my treatment, customers kept coming in nonstop.

The overall vibe of the salon was calm and clean! There's also a separate, comfortable space for clinic treatments, so I could relax the whole time 😀

An inner clinic for hair left frizzy by dye and perms

This time I got the inner clinic — apparently not the kind that just softens the surface, but one that fills the hair from the inside, so I started with high expectations!!

Before: the state of the damaged hair

From frequent dyeing and perming, my hair was completely frizzy overall with zero bounce!? (clinic emergency..) They started with a shampoo before the clinic.

What order does the inner clinic at Beorn Hair follow?

• Opening the cuticles: After shampooing, they started by opening the cuticles so the clinic product could really sink into the hair. They mentioned my hair might feel slightly stiff at this point, and it really did feel a bit stiffer than usual when I touched it! After that, the actual nourishing stage began.
• Filling in protein: First larger protein particles go in, then a second round with smaller protein particles fills in the rest!! It felt like they were carefully filling in whatever the damaged hair was missing, layer by layer — more thorough than I expected.
• Heat treatment: They didn't just apply the product and stop — they applied it step by step with heat treatment in between, and I thought 'ah, that's why it takes a while' 🫢 It actually took about 1 hour 30 minutes!!

I liked that they checked my hair condition throughout the process!! (Also the deputy director and staff were all so fun and kind 😭😭 the best)

They also gave me a simple drink and snack, so it never felt boring!!

And my favorite part, the final step…🤍 Honestly the whole clinic process was great, but the final head spa is what I remember most lol. As shown in the photo, I lay back comfortably in the spa room, and since it's a massage chair, it genuinely felt like getting a massage. Lying there getting a head spa while also getting a massage — I nearly fell asleep.

Personally, this moment was pure bliss.. 🫠

The moment I touched it, it was so soft, and maybe because so much nourishment went in, the bounce came back haha 🥹 (the magic of not being able to stop looking at my hair in the mirror.. 🤍)

After the inner clinic, I felt my hair and it was definitely softer than before the treatment. Especially when combing, there's much less snagging on stiff strands, and my hair overall feels calm and settled!

If you have frizzy, damaged hair like mine from frequent dyeing or styling, a clinic treatment might be worth trying once. Most of all, the final head spa was so satisfying that I think I'll remember it next time I go get my hair taken care of lol. A day of hair care and healing all in one 🤍
