There are days you just crave a hand-made burger~ On a bright, sunny autumn day with cool breezes, I wanted to feel the season eating on a terrace like a European restaurant, so I went to "Bas Burger Samseong Branch," a burger place on Teheran-ro near Samseong Station.

Location and parking for Bas Burger Samseong Station Branch
🏡 Address: 997-11 Daechi-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul / 16 Teheran-ro 114-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. 320m from Exit 2 of Samseong Station on Line 2. Administratively it's in Daechi-dong, on Teheran-ro.
You can park at the 'Tancheon public parking lot' in front of the Gangnam Driving License Test Center. It's a 5-minute walk and costs ₩1,200 per hour. Street parking right in front of Bas Burger is hard to find a spot in anyway, and costs around ₩8,000 an hour, so I'd recommend the Tancheon lot.
⏰️ Business hours: daily 11:00–21:00, last order 20:30.
A pub-style terrace

"Bas Burger Samseong Branch" has a casual, pub-like vibe with a wide terrace and tables, making it a good spot to grab dinner and a beer after work. In weather like this, sitting on the terrace and feeling the cool breeze was just perfect. In the evening, natural breeze beats AC air, so this really seemed like the best seat in the house.
Order via kiosk or table order

There's a standing kiosk at the entrance of Bas Burger, mostly convenient for people ordering takeout, and each table has a table-order system so you can order right from your seat. You can choose a bun or lettuce wrap for your burger, and there are various fry sauces to pick from, so it took a bit of time to decide while looking everything over carefully.
The Bas Burger set & Bas Burger set

Even though I'd read reviews from people who'd already been, I still got confused ordering — The Bas Burger and the Bas Burger are different!! The Bas Burger is the basic burger with lettuce, tomato, onion, patty, and cheese, while The Bas Burger adds a second patty and hash browns to the basic Bas Burger, making for a much fuller hand-made burger.

In this cross-section shot of The Bas Burger, you can see the hash brown sandwiched between the two patties. I'm not totally sure if it's cheese or mustard sauce lol, but there's a yellow cheese(?) melted nicely above and below the patties, and above all, despite being a hand-made burger, it wasn't heavy at all — a good weight for a workday lunch. Unless you're a big eater, one set was just right.

The taste — and distinctive smell — of the basic Bas Burger
Just the plain~~ Bas Burger haha. A basic burger, true to classic burger flavor. Every burger at Bas Burger has a very distinctive smell coming from the sauce, and to my palate, the mustard sauce had a hint of a spice commonly used in Chinese cooking. I'd be enjoying it and then suddenly get hit with that strong spice note, which threw me off a little each time. I've definitely tasted that spice somewhere before — not pepper, but... something distinctive. I imagine younger generations used to travel or studying abroad would take to it more easily. Even with that distinctive smell, the Bas Burger is a pretty solid hand-made burger overall.
Sides: French fries and coleslaw

The burger set comes standard with fluffy, warm French fries at no extra cost, and the refreshing coleslaw is an extra ₩500 on top of the set price. Coleslaw is just a must-have side at any burger place haha.

Swapping the set drink for the craft beer, Bas Lager
The burger set drink can be swapped for soda, a milkshake, or craft beer, and since it's currently the opening period, there's a free upgrade event to the craft Bas Lager with no extra charge — so I enjoyed a beer with my Bas Burger starting from... daytime(?). It was stronger than I expected, and after about 300cc my face turned bright red, so I ended up sitting at Bas Burger until I 'sobered up'(?) lol. Good thing I didn't drive that day!
Free potato chips, James Gam — and watch out for the Wi-Fi

For dine-in customers only, there's a free potato chip called 'James Gam' at a self-serve corner — you can scoop as much as you want. They're fried fresh every morning, and I admit I ate a whole plate of them before my burger even arrived haha. They went perfectly with the craft Bas Lager.
It was a great lunch in Samseong-dong, though I should mention the Wi-Fi QR codes on the tables all seem to be dead~ I scanned three, four times and nothing worked, so I ended up asking a staff member. Phew~~~ The Wi-Fi password is written on the pillar near the James Gam station, so make sure to type it in manually to connect.
