I visited Romaok Dogok, famous around Yangjae Station and Dogok-dong for its emotional atmosphere and high-quality fusion Italian food haha. From the antique brick exterior to the cozy lit interior and the menu that pairs perfectly with wine, I totally got why it's known as a spot for dates, blind dates, or wedding invitation gatherings near Yangjae Station!!
What is the atmosphere like at Romaok Dogok?

The antique red brick exterior and the moody antique interior already got me at hello ❤️❤️

Stepping inside, the soft lighting and classic wood-toned furniture create such a luxurious atmosphere!! The vibe was really nice >< It's a great mood for quiet conversation, so I'd highly recommend it if you're looking for a date course or blind date spot near Yangjae Station!!!
Romaok Dogok menu and what we ordered

The menu has everything from salads and pasta to steak and dessert haha.
- Abalone gonad pasta
- Balsamic Glaze Salmon Steak
- Mission Third Chardonnay

Mission Third Chardonnay by the bottle
Mission Third Chardonnay (bottle). My friend and I are still wine newbies haha so we just went with the safest-seeming, low-sweetness white wine!!! Every wine tastes good to me anyway 😋😋

Warm pre-meal bread🥖 crispy outside, moist inside, chewy in the middle.. dipped in olive oil, it felt like Italy for a second. My friend who'd just gotten back from a Europe trip said it was as good as the bread she had over there lol

How was the abalone gonad pasta?
While we were chatting over the bread, the dishes arrived~ One bite of the pasta and I immediately understood why it's the best menu item here. The whole grilled abalone on top was so tender, and the pesto cream sauce made with abalone gonad (게우) was rich and had a standout nuttiness 🤤🧡

Even I, who's not great with fishy-tasting food, really enjoyed this!! There was zero fishy taste, and the sauce clung perfectly to the linguine — I scraped up every last bit of sauce!!! Writing this makes me want to eat it again,,,

Balsamic glaze salmon steak: how it tasted
This was the dish I was most looking forward to, and it truly exceeded expectations! The thick salmon steak was cooked perfectly, moist on the inside. The sweet-and-tangy flavor of that balsamic-doenjang sauce paired so well with the rich, savory salmon 👍🏻👍🏻

There's salad underneath the steak, and eating it together with the vegetables was so, so good ><.. I really really recommend the salmon steak🧡🧡
From the antique interior to the quality of every single dish, everything was satisfying — I really got why this place keeps coming up as a date, blind date, or gathering spot near Yangjae Station.. There were actually people on blind dates seated on both sides of us haha,,,
Overall, the atmosphere is upscale and each dish has its own clear appeal, making for a genuinely pleasant meal! Weekends and peak hours fill up fast, so I'd recommend booking through Catch Table or Naver Reservation before you go~~ 🍝 If you're looking for a great-atmosphere restaurant near Yangjae Station or a pasta spot in Dogok-dong, definitely check out Romaok Dogok! The staff were also so attentive and kind — totally satisfied👍🏻👍🏻
