A place in Jijok-dong for unlimited eel and meat
While looking for a good restaurant in Yuseong-gu, Daejeon, I visited Songrimbok Jangeo (송림복장어) Unlimited Freshwater Eel Daejeon Direct Store for lunch. It is a spot where you can enjoy unlimited premium domestic freshwater eel, charcoal-grilled pork belly, and chicken neck meat, so I thought it would be great for a family meal as well as a company dinner in Daejeon.

There was a parking lot right in front of the restaurant, which made it convenient to visit by car.

Above all, the restaurant was much more spacious than I had expected.

The tables were nicely spaced apart, with seating suitable for family meals as well as group tables for several people, so it seems like a good fit for anyone looking for a large restaurant in Jijok-dong. Songrimbok Jangeo says it brings in live eels every morning from eel farms and direct-sale markets, then prepares them in-house. I also liked that its unlimited refills do not mean thawed frozen eel. Being able to eat as much eel as you want while keeping the cost down is probably the biggest advantage. 👍

Unlimited eel, pork belly, and chicken neck meat for 2 hours
The dining time is 2 hours. Along with eel, you can also have unlimited charcoal-grilled pork belly and chicken neck meat, so there was a nice range of choices.

Once we settled into a comfortable table, they first set out the basic side dishes and brought us eel and chicken neck meat to start.

They also gave us bokbunja, a Korean black raspberry wine, on the house.

Charcoal-grilled eel with shredded ginger
I put the eel on the grill and waited for it to turn nicely golden.

Even the smell of eel cooking over charcoal had me salivating already.

I placed the perfectly cooked eel on lettuce and ate it with shredded ginger. The ginger complemented the clean flavor of the eel, making it fresh and not at all rich.

Unlimited refills from the self-service bar
Best of all, since it was all-you-can-eat, whenever we felt we needed more, we could simply take as much as we wanted from the self-service bar without feeling self-conscious.

After eating eel, we moved on to chicken neck meat, and being able to grill that alongside it made for a much more varied meal than sticking with just one item. From family meals with children to company dinners with a crowd, it seemed like a place with something for nearly everyone. Especially if you love eel, I think it could be a good choice for eating your fill without the price pressure.
Overall, it is a place I would like to recommend to anyone looking for a restaurant in Jijok-dong, Daejeon: the space is large, parking is easy, and you can enjoy unlimited eel and meat together. With both family tables and group seating, it is also worth keeping in mind for a restaurant in Yuseong-gu, Daejeon, or a company dinner in Daejeon. It was a great place to visit when you want a hearty meal of eel and meat together. 😊
