The weather suddenly turned cold, so I was craving a steaming hot pot and came to Omi Omi Handmade Dumpling Hot Pot & Kudzu Naengmyeon Sono Bell Main Branch (오미오미 수제만두전골&칡냉면 소노벨 본점)!

Omi Omi Handmade Dumpling Hot Pot & Kudzu Naengmyeon is already known as a good place near Independence Hall of Korea!! I came right at opening on a weekday lunch, and there were plenty of parking spaces!

The parking lot is quite large, so even new drivers do not need to worry about parking!!

The interior is huge!! Big enough to handle group guests with no problem! And since the kitchen is open, you can see it with your own eyes, which makes it feel extra trustworthy(?)

This is how the menu is set up. There is a range of dishes, from handmade dumpling hot pot to naengmyeon (cold noodles), and they also take delivery orders, so keep that in mind if you want to order dumplings from another area~! We ordered the spicy handmade dumpling hot pot for three~!

The side dishes arrived as soon as we ordered! Just the right amount to eat alongside the meal, haha.

For extra side dishes, you can use the self-service bar—and unusually, it also had sujebi (hand-torn dough flakes) and ramen noodles!! They are unlimited refills, so take only what you can eat and enjoy it properly💕

And the dumplings came out soon after!! You get two steamed dumplings per person—one meat and one kimchi—and they were seriously incredible ㅠㅠㅠ They are enormous king-size dumplings, so these alone already made me feel full💕

And while we were tasting them one by one, the dumpling hot pot came out right away…!! (Seriously fast.)

What is this portion…? It is so generous!!! I went with my parents, and all three of us were left with our mouths hanging open, hahaha. A mountain of dumpling hot pot~~ As expected of a dumpling place near Independence Hall of Korea, hahaha.

After a little while it boils away like this. First pick out the vegetables and glass noodles, then scoop out the dumplings once they are thoroughly cooked—that is heaven👍🏻

And once the broth cooks down, you can add more stock and cook sujebi, or add ramen noodles, for a whole second meal, hahahahaha.

Ahh, Muni's group started scooping out the glass noodles, vegetables, and shrimp too!! The broth was truly fantastic. The spicy broth was not intensely hot, just pleasantly peppery, so even people who are weak with spice can handle it🫶🏻

Self-serve sujebi and dessert kudzu naengmyeon

After picking everything out, we brought over some sujebi from the self-service corner!! The dough was stacked sheet by sheet like cheese, and there were disposable gloves beside it, so you can take and add the sujebi yourself😋

Can you see how chewy the sujebi is!! Tear it up like this, drop it in, and let it bubble away, and you get to experience a whole different world of food!! But it does not end here.

Dessert naengmyeon came out, hahahahaha. When we were nearly done, they asked, “Shall we prepare the dessert naengmyeon?” and I was so surprised, hahaha. Make sure you get the dessert naengmyeon—it was really delicious ㅠㅠㅠ

I was already so full, but the look of it was impossible to resist… It was kudzu naengmyeon, and it was good enough to make me want the full-size version ㅠㅠㅠ To the point that I thought, next time I should come just for the naengmyeon?!

A satisfying, hearty meal with parents

As we paid and headed out, we each popped a peppermint candy into our mouths too, hahaha. It had been a while since I enjoyed hot pot this much, and my parents were happy and I was happy too!!

There is such a huge amount of food, and the special health-minded dumplings contain shiitake mushrooms and bracken fern, so I think they would be fine to eat with kids, and older guests would probably like them too!! High chairs are available, and you can choose spicy or mild, so this restaurant and its menu consider everyone, young and old!!
