In short

Gran Passage parking tips: where to park for easy access
The Gran Passage building is really vast with tons of shops inside, so where you park actually matters.
Once you enter the building's parking lot, park near the 'Green Zone' — it's much easier to reach the store by elevator from there!

We parked in the Purple Zone and had to walk all the way around to get there. (If you park in the Purple Zone, park near here — there's an elevator right nearby.)
Exterior — Green Zone 2F, next to Dongtan Lake Park

The store is located on the 2nd floor of the Green Zone at Dongtan Gran Passage. The entrance is clean and the signage is clear, so it's easy to find.
It's right next to Dongtan Lake Park, so it's a great spot to pair with a walk around the lake before or after your meal!
Interior atmosphere — why it's good to bring kids

My first impression walking in was that the store was spacious and clean.
By the time we were eating, the place had filled up completely, but the tables were spaced well enough that it didn't feel cramped! There's plenty of room, so a lot of families were there. I saw quite a few babies too, since baby chairs are available.
Menu and prices

The signature mushroom kalguksu comes in a few broth styles to suit your taste.

Every table has a tablet ordering system (T-order) installed, so you can take your time browsing the menu and order easily.
- Spicy mushroom kalguksu: ₩10,000
- Clear mushroom kalguksu: ₩10,000
- Perilla mushroom kalguksu: ₩10,000
- Shabu beef (180g): ₩10,000
Basic side dish — spicy kimchi

Kimchi and a sauce dish come standard once you sit down. Kimchi is the heart of any kalguksu place! It had a garlic-forward, spicy edge that paired really well with both the shabu-shabu and the noodles.
📋 What we ordered & honest tasting notes

✔️Spicy shabu kalguksu for two, ₩20,000 (vegetables + kalguksu + dumplings + fried rice) ✔️Added beef, ₩10,000 — this is what I ordered!

You can swap the water dropwort for bean sprouts
When ordering, I swapped the water dropwort (minari) for bean sprouts. It was convenient to be able to choose between minari and bean sprouts.
The crunchy bean sprouts and mushrooms went really refreshingly well with the rich, spicy broth. Very satisfying.

Added beef, dipped in the special sauce
Cooking the beef in the broth and dipping it with the vegetables in the special sauce made it soft and clean-tasting. The spicy broth gave it a nice kick — really delicious!

Kalguksu noodles and dumplings
After finishing the meat, we added the kalguksu noodles and dumplings and let them simmer. The hot pot had plenty of potato in it too, and the noodles soaked up the broth and cooked through nicely — really tasty.

🥚🍚 Egg fried rice (highly recommend👍👍👍)
The finishing move of the meal! Just as we were finishing the kalguksu, a staff member came by and asked if we wanted fried rice. We said yes immediately, and they took the pot away and brought it back stir-fried themselves.
And this fried rice was genuinely delicious👍 Fluffy and nutty, in that classic egg fried rice style (like the egg fried rice at a Chinese restaurant) — even though I was already full, I kept eating more. A real standout!!
✨ Overall thoughts
The spicy broth, the choice of vegetables, and the full course all the way to the noodles and the nutty egg fried rice — the whole combination worked really well.
The store is clean and pleasant, and the staff's friendly service makes it a great spot for family meals or gatherings. I still keep thinking about that fried rice at the end — I'm already planning to book a return visit!
